Michael Eric Kraut

I can't say enough about Michael kraut and Kraut law group. I was falsely accused of a domestic violence charge and he and his firm worked tirelessly to bring the truth out and get my case dismissed. In 2012 I was charged with two counts of assault with deadly weapon charges one count of domestic violence and one count of attempted murder by Van Nuys Da's Office my bail as $1,100.000 due to 3rd strike allegations by the Da's office I was depressed and sitting in a maximum security jail in down...town Mens Central Jail with no hope. Due to the seriousness of the charges against me I contacted a different attorney from jail who initially took my case after a week went by and I appeared Van Nuys court I was still sitting in custody and the Judge didn't lower my bail because of flight risk. I then contacted Kraut Law Group and spoke with Michael Kraut I heard his the best in L.A. initially I was skeptical and as everyone knows lawyers never come through what they promise at the end they just want to take your money and make you plead guilty and save their reputation front of Da's and Judges. Mr. Kraut appeared in court first appearance and got my bail reduced to $250,000.00 and got me released same day on a bond I didn't believe saw my case and immediately understood what was going on and my ex wife had tried to gain custody of my children since I had 100% custody and tried to get advantage in family court. The District attorneys office was fighting very hard and in fact but end of the Mr. Kraut brought everything in to light to the Da's office and the Judge not once he cared about what the Da's office thought of him or his reputation and future relationship with the Da's office before me! I appeared maybe 7 times in court and my lawyer Mr. Kraut got the whole thing dismissed on April 2nd 2013. Thanks to him now I can go on in my life.!!!!!

My nightmare began over 9 months ago. My husband and I had only been married one month and we got into an argument. I threw something in an attempt to distract him and it ended up hitting him below the eye. He went to the emergency room since it was Saturday and when they asked him what happened he... told them I accidentally hit him with something. Turns out, they are legally required to call the cops if you say a partner hit you and the cops are legally required to arrest you. I sat in the courtroom and watched lawyers file in and they looked sloppy and used car salesman-y. Then my attorney walked in, smiling, looking polished, and he knew all the lawyers and the judge. He even cracked jokes with the judge so I thought I may be in good hands. At the first court date, they tried to get a restraining order against me and Michael was not accepting it. The prosecutor tried to get a lower level restraining order and Michael shot that down too. I learned early on, Michael would get his way and would not stop until he did. I didn’t receive a restraining order. All throughout my case Michael did stress to me to let him do his job and he will get me the best possible outcome. There were times I would email him and write him and tell him how scared I was and I learned he is not trying to hear all that. He needs to be left alone to do his job. He may not be your friend, but he is a damn good lawyer. Throughout the 9 months, he never once even considered pleading me out; he never even brought it up. It was either dismiss this or give me a diversion, that was it. And after 9 long months, that IS what happened. He got the prosecutor to agree that if I take 26 anger management classes and pay a fine, that they will drop the case completely. I spent my first 9 months of marriage in a nightmare, but Michael ended it for me. He fought for me, he represented me fairly and I CANNOT give him enough praise. After the case he came down to see my husband and he even got emotional seeing us embrace and celebrate the moment. I was arrested a couple months ago for Felony Domestic Violence. The police report had pictures of a neck rash my girlfriend had. When i bailed out i knew the situation was really grim. I was extremely nervous and was thinking we were going to plan out my defense for my first court date. When i got to his office he told me the City Attorney decided not to file charges. WOW! Michael Kraut was able too not only dismiss my case, but i never even had to go to court once! I broke down and gave him a hug. I wish i knew Michael before. As someone with experience with attorneys and the court system being thru it, Michael Kraut does things that others cannot. Even on a second time DV charge, Michael was able to fight the case for me as i got to continue my life. Thank you Mr. Kraut!!!! i owe you my newfound life!!!!!!
