Michael Eric Kraut

Short Story: He's an excellent attorney and he knows what he's doing. My mom was in an unfortunate accident. The unfortunate part was someone died in the accident. She was charged with DUI/Gross Negligence Vehicular Manslaughter. This case could have ended with my mother dying in prison. I spoke... to a few people while we were deciding if we should bail her out immediately or wait for arraignment. One of which was Michael Kraut who personally answered the phone and gave me the advice of bailing her out immediately and the reasons why- he did not try to solicit us or anything- just told us exactly what to do. After bailing her out, I scheduled 6 different appts to meet with attorneys in a 48 hr period- all attorneys with high reviews on avvo or references. They were all very sympathetic and tried to convince me that they could take the case, but none had the years of DA experience that Michael Kraut had so that was our determining factor to go with him. It was also clear that he has good/personal relations with a lot of DAs and Judges. After signing the retainer with him, another high profiled criminal defense attorney finally called me back and I explained my position. He told me to call his friend who “knows everyone” since I hinted that I was not sure if we made the right decision by hiring him the day before. Although awkward, I was desperate to hear an opinion of Kraut so I did call him. And this attorney did know Kraut and said that he knows how to do a trial and he's at a different level from all the other attorneys. This case went on for almost two years and I went to almost all of the court appearances so I was able to personally watch Michael in action. He is a very nice person, but is also serious when he needs to be... he is truly serving Justice and after our experience with the unethical DAs and incompetent judges, you need to have a good criminal attorney... Now I understand why he moved from the prosecution to defense side. He's known as being a "fighter" and he really is. My mother's case ended with a misdemeanor and no jail time.

Michael Kraut provided me with the closest thing to a miracle than I have ever experienced before. I was pulled over and arrested for DUI with a .16% BAC and I knew there would be a good chance that I would be convicted. Michael utilized his expertise, his utmost prudence of the law, and his dedicati...on to serve the people and scrutinized all of the nuances of my case. He ended up finding the smallest bit of evidence that he could use to my benefit. During the hearing, he owned that courtroom. While demanding respect, he placed a smile on the faces of everyone involved, including the judge and the prosecutor. I ended up not getting a conviction! Nothing. Zip. DUI gone. I never doubted Michael. He knows what he is doing. Just let him do his work and he will try his hardest to get the best deal he can get you.

I don't have enough words to praise Michael Kraut. I was accused of a White Collar complicated crime in Los Angeles. I felt paralyzed and without hope with the "allegations" and "fabrications" throw at me. After discussing my situation with several Lawyers and 5 days prior to my Indictment, I go...t in touch with Michael Kraut. He was firm, very personable and took the time to hear my side of the story. Thanks to Mr. Kraut's excellent reputation with Law Enforcement he was able to obtain time to prepare my defense. He was always available for me in the phone, thru the ups and downs of the case. He was able to show real facts to Authorities instead of fabricated speculation and obtained a Full Dismissal of the case without even getting to Court. Michael gave me back my life and I proudly recommend him to anyone in need of a strong Defense.

I was up on burglary charges and started to think I had no hope. Then I met Mike Kraut. There aren't enough words I can say about what a great lawyer and a great person Mike Kraut is. He gave me my life back, and even gave me a new frame of mind. I am a better person for knowing Mike Kraut. I would entrust anyone with his expertise, knowledge, and above all, compassion. I will recommend him with pride and confidence. Just a side note, he was a very well respected DA, and when he walked in the courtroom, he was greeted with smiles and old stories. You can't get any better defense than that. Even the judge knew who he was and you could tell there was a lot of respect there. I cannot recommend Mike Kraut enough, and please don't waste money on a lawyer who will tell you what you want to hear until you pay him, then give you minimal support. Trust the best, trust the person who loves helping people and loves what he does. Trust Mike Kraut.

I was pulled over in the City of Orange in 2007 and charged with a DUI. Because all the notices were sent to a wrong address I could not respond to the charges and I thought they were dismissed since I don’t have a valid CA driver’s license and my immigration status is questionable. In May of 2013 I... was pulled over again and the DUI charge came up. I was sent court summons and told that I will go to jail for 60 days for the DUI and for not responding to the court summons. Of utmost importance to me was that my immigration status was not questioned and Mike was able to use his contacts to make that happen. I have no doubt that very few lawyers would be able to do what Mike did. Mike is worth every penny and I very grateful to him and his staff for helping me through this difficult situation.
