I figure if you're reading this web site, you might be facing a very difficult situation ahead of you. Trust me, I was there. I thought I'd lose my family. I thought my life was crumbling around me. The police were lying to me, a lying detective was calling me and members of my family, pressuring them into telling me to provide written confessions because they had a weak case. They went so far as to encourage me to break the law in order to help the prosecuting attorney win the case. And if you're a good person who typically trusts law enforcement, you might be willing to believe them.
I thank God every day that I had some savings for an emergency like this, trusted my instincts, laughed (quietly) at these liars and gave Michael Harwin a call.
Michael is an incredible advocate for his clients. He is an aggressive, knowledgeable lawyer that uses his powers for the good of his clients. Michael breaks the stereotype of criminal defense lawyers by actually being a likable, principled individual who can talk to individuals at all walks of life.
I would absolutely recommend Michael to anyone who was willing to invest in the best possible defense lawyer in the area to protect their rights. Michael's actions saved me from a very difficult situation and prevented me from having a criminal record. I learned an incredible amount of information from Michael and tried to use every second learning from him.

I am a member the U.S. Army Reserves and an Army civil servant. I received an extreme DUI July 2012 in Tucson, Az. My career and reputation were in jeopardy and I was not sure what to do. With the assistance of a friend, I found Mr. Michael Harwin. His credentials, reputation and track record are why I chose to hire Mr. Harwin to represent my case in court. Mr. Harwin and his staff care about their clients. They continuously kept me informed on any changes in my case, which is extremely reassuring especially when you find yourself in a predicament such as a DUI. It took a little over 10 months to find out the results of my case, but in the end Mr. Harwin was able to fight to get my DUI dismissed in May 2013. It is clear that he cares and puts forth the time and effort towards gathering evidence to dismiss or suppress your case. I will forever be grateful for Mr. Hawin and his staff’s efforts during my case over the past year. I recommend Mr. Harwin to anyone who finds themselves in this predicament; definitely well worth your time and money.

Almost a year and a half ago our 18-yr. son had a dangerous single-car accident that involved the police. Soon that was followed by drug problems which led to charges of domestic violence and criminal damage. The situation seemed overwhelming and we knew we needed the best lawyer possible.
A friend who is a top attorney in Tucson recommended Mike Harwin. We looked Mike up and saw that he had an excellent resume. We called him and he met with us right away.
Mike was friendly but professional, understanding but firm with our son and it was clear he was the right choice. We were concerned that the best could be unaffordable but he laid out his excellent prices and we accepted them and he got to work immediately.
A year and a half later we couldn’t be happier with Mike and his results. Throughout the process he fought for our son at every turn. He was right there when we needed him and he always knew the right thing to say at the right time and he even advised us on matters that weren’t involved with the case. We’d be in tough situations and Mike would call us out of the blue to offer advise and reassure us. He was so generous with his time and expertise that we felt we owed him more than our original financial agreement but he wouldn’t accept additional payment.
It hard to imagine how difficult this process is. Mike’s legal skills and the relationships he has with people in the legal system are critical, but his empathy and manner are invaluable when you feel your son’s world is crashing in around him. We feel so lucky to have had Mike defending our son and supporting our family. He always listened, was compassionate and helped us through some of our lowest moments. In the end we got an excellent legal outcome: the accident records were expunged and the domestic violence charge was dismissed..
We’ll never forget what he did for our family…
