Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2009.

Probation issued in AZ, 2009

updated on 06/14/2016

Probation means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The State monitors the lawyer's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Cornelia’s comment:

“I made one great mistake taking a divorce case for a woman whose husband was a drug addict and physically abusive, in my opinion. Rather than fight the Bar, I accepted an offer to settle the matter. That was 7 years ago. I've never taken another divorce case and haven't had a problem since. So I understand what it's like to be accused and, I assure you--I know how to fight back. As I will for anyone charged with a crime. Too much is at stake.”

Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?

  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
