This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
Probation means an attorney did something wrong but may still practice law. The State monitors the lawyer's activities for a period of time in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
Cornelia’s comment: “I made one great mistake taking a divorce case for a woman whose husband was a drug addict and physically abusive, in my opinion. Rather than fight the Bar, I accepted an offer to settle the matter. That was 7 years ago. I've never taken another divorce case and haven't had a problem since. So I understand what it's like to be accused and, I assure you--I know how to fight back. As I will for anyone charged with a crime. Too much is at stake.”

I met Cornelia during my criminal case and how lucky I was! This was very serious case with over 14 felony counts to me and my co-defendent. I was terrified due to the circumstances. She was very caring, and informative. She really knows her stuff! I am not in prison and have no felony conviction! I would really recommend this team for future cases you have. Mine was a nightmare and she and her team guided me through it .. I am so thankful for their hard work and dedication.

I met Cornelia during a hard time.of.my life. my son who was a juvinlie at the time was facing 5 serious felony charges. During this time we have had other issues occure one being a financial hardship Cornelia worked with us. another was a need of having to relocate out of state again she made.this happen. while working on my sons case as I mentioned my son was charged when he was a juvinile but the charges he was facing were adult charges Cornelia did her research.and tryed to get my sons case down to juvinile charges though it was not a success Conelia did her very best took the time to look into this case and continues to work hard. I would like to add that not only is she a great attorney but she is a wonderful person with a great heart she is very thoughtful and careing. I would highly recommend her and diffenetly hire her as my attorney if I needed to in the future. She has a great team that works with her all whom are very helpful and great. Thank You Cornelia and staff.
Michael Moore, Civil rights Attorney
Relationship: Worked together on matter
Ms. Honchar has as razor-sharp wit, great life experience, and great courtroom presence that makes her a superior advocate for folks charged with crimes. She approaches citizen civil rights from the criminal side, while I encounter most clients after they have been through the criminal law system and are trying to put their lives back together. Ms. Honchar's knowledge of the criminal justice system makes her a great resource for investigations into potential civil rights violation lawsuits in federal court.
