Save your money!

I hired Brian for a first offense DUI and was basically promised that by hiring him, he’d be able to get my charge plead down. WRONG! I was charged and convicted of a DUI. Save your money and take the court appointed attorney.

I’m sorry this ‘anonymous’ person did not like the outcome of their case. However, I don’t lie to my clients or potential clients, and I NEVER promise an outcome on a case. I am a ‘straight shooter’ when I talk to people, whether they are potential or actual clients. I even have a sentence in my Legal Fee Agreement that every client has to initial that specifically states, “Client understands that a criminal case, by its very nature, is unpredictable and that Attorney makes no guarantees or representations with respect to the outcome, or final disposition of this matter.” What I do try to do during my Initial Consultation is let the potential client know my thoughts on their case, based on the information they provide me, case law on the subject, and my experience dealing with similar cases. However, that opinion can change if what the person initially told me is completely different than what is stated in the police report. People hire me because of my experience in DUI Defense. However, I am not the only party to the case. The police report and blood/breath test results are a big factor, and the prosecutor is the one that offers a plea agreement. I do not control the facts of the case or the prosecutor. People hire me to find legal or factual issues that other attorneys might not spot because of a lack of experience. I have plenty of those stories listed on my website. Now, what I’m sure that I DID do for this ‘anonymous’ client, was that I handled numerous court dates without them having to be present, so that they could focus on their work or school. I imagine I handled the MVD, to allow them to continue to drive upwards of a few more months. I imagine I handled the MVD correctly, so as to prevent them from having to have 3 years of SR22 high risk insurance. I would have emailed them a 5- to 10-page Case Review letting them know all my thoughts on their case, so that they could make a fully informed decision on how they should proceed. I very likely informed them that I did not think that it was worthwhile to continue fighting the case, and pay me thousands of dollars more, when I thought that it would be a waste of time and a waste of money. And I likely walked them through their Change of Plea and Sentencing, and answered any questions that they had. I may have also got them credit towards jail time, and/or possibly set them up so that they didn’t have to serve their entire sentence in full by utilizing my trick that often works. That depends on what judge they were in front of. These are all things that a Public Defender would not have done in the representation of a client. Something else that I provide to all my clients is direct access to me through calling, texting or emailing me with any questions that my clients have. This is not something that public defenders offer, and it is rare for even other private attorneys to offer this level of access. An attorney should not be rated on the final outcome of a case, as the attorney is often not the one in control of that final outcome. I am one of the few attorneys that solely focuses on DUI Defense Representation, at this point having successfully defended nearly 3,000 DUI cases. I believe I’m one of the most award-winning attorneys in the state, and I recently received an award that only about five people in the state have received for DUI Defense. I don’t lie to clients or potential clients, and I don’t promise anything concerning the final outcome of the case. Unlike many other defense lawyers, I don’t give people false hope just so people will sign up with me. Those who do their research find me, and realize that I am the best value in the state, based on my experience and what I charge. I don’t need to lie to people, nor do I have any interest in lying to people, to get them to sign up with me. I offer an excellent service at very reasonable rates, and people who do their research tend to find me.
