Excellent Choice For a Family Lawyer

I hired Diana a few years ago and put her on a retainer to help with family law issues pertaining to child custody. She helped me understand the law in the State of Utah and how it applied to my situation. Diana is an empathic listener who explains the law in understandable terms. She is prompt in he...r communications and always asks what the overall goal is for each call. I felt very empowered after each time I communicated with her. I'm very pleased with the outcome of my case and I highly recommend working with her!

In competent hands

When I set out to find an attorney to represent me in my divorce, I knew I was very interested in the collaborative process, but I knew nothing about it and if was the best route to take. It ALL felt overwhelming and scary. Minutes after my general inquiry to the Utah Association of Collaborative Pro...fessionals, Diana reached out to me with information about the collaborative process. I called her almost immediately. She was generous with her time and knowledge, helping me get clear and feel a little less anxious about the process. Needless to say, I hired her. Throughout the process, Diana listened, was responsive (which was SUPER important to me), compassionate, competent and straight forward. I felt I could trust her and knew she had my back. When things got tense she did her best to diffuse things, but when it was necessary she got tough. I would absolutely recommend the collaborative process and I would absolutely recommend hiring Diana.

Tough, Fair, and Professional

I was in an extremely high conflict divorce and custody battle that dragged on for 18 months. Diana was amazing to work with and I never could have settled this difficult situation without her expertise. Diana walked me through the entire process. Along the way she would tell me what my option...s were and give me all the information I would need to make difficult decisions. She always had my best interest and the best interest of my kids in mind. She had a lot of empathy for what I was going through and tried to remedy things as best she could. I felt like Diana had a lot of integrity and I could trust her. She was extremely knowledgeable and always prepared. She worked very professionally with a custody evaluator, Guardian ad Litem, various mediators, Commissioner, Judge, and a very difficult opposing counsel. She has a great reputation in her professional community, as evidenced by her rapport with the other professionals involved in my case. Diana was easily available by phone or email and often consulted with me during stressful situations in the evenings or on weekends. She was straight forward about timelines, cost, and what would be next in the process. Though the experience with my divorce was not something I would ever recommend or wish to go through again, I would whole-heartedly recommend Diana as the strong and competent attorney to get you through it.

Child Custody

Diana Telfer is the best attorney I could have asked for. She listened to all of my concerns and gave me the realistic outcomes of what would happen in court. She genuinely cared for my daughter and I, and fought tooth and nail for us. She’s extremely well organized, considerate, communicative, and p...rofessional. She is consistently staying updated on your case to ensure you have everything you need when going to court. She also makes you very aware of how much everything will cost and gives you the best for your money which I greatly appreciated. She has worked for me for two years now and I have zero complaints. Her and her team are the best, and definitely who you want on your side of the court room. I will recommend her to everyone because she was the blessing my daughter and I needed during a trying time in our lives.

Diana is an excellent attorney with wise understanding of both legal and human aspects of divorce.

I've been a past law enforcement officer of 15 years and I have worked with numerous attorneys during that time frame. Diana without a doubt is one of the choicest individuals that I have had the opportunity to associate with. Diana knows what she is doing and was compassionate to many of my conce...rns. I felt that she listend to what I had to say and took everything in to consideration. If I was wrong on an issue she was definitely not afraid to tell me that I was wrong on an issue. Which was good because in divorce and child custody cases there's usually a lot of emotions involved. My case was definitely no exception. My significant other ended up with some emotional and psychological issues that made everything about 20 times harder unfortunately. After my significant other lost her attorney due to some issues. Diana ended up having to do the work of two attorneys. She did her best to help the other party understand while at the same time protect the interest of me and the kids. This divorce ended up taking over 2 years to settle because of numerous complications. Diana with her wisdom and knowledge was a blessing to our situation. She is not only a great person with integrity, but she is also a very knowledgeable attorney. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.
