I became interested in practicing family law while doing an intership for a judge during law school. During that internship, I became fascinated at how many different areas of law family law touches. I have been practicing family law for more than a decade now and every day brings a new challenge. The most rewarding part of my job is working together with clients as an advocate and a counselor during what is for most people the most difficult experience they will go through in life.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family vacationing in warm locations, coaching youth football, watching sports, and waterfowl hunting.
Practice areas
I represent clients in all facets of family law including divorce, paternity, enforcement, modifications, adoptions, and pre and postnuptial agreements.
17 years
I have represented many families over the last years in various types of adoptions including agency and individual adoptions, step-parent and adult adoptions.

I wholeheartedly endorse Jared Hales. He exemplifies what other young members of Utah's Family Law Bar should be. Intelligent, diligent, professional, reasonable, and always committed to the best interests of his clients no matter what form that takes. His clients are lucky to have him.
