Brandie Jonnel Rouse

Brandie is a very professional lawyer. She cares for her clients and works closely with them to help them out. She always is available to you, it may be a day or two later but she always responds to you when you leave her messages. She is great in court and has a great way of negotiating terms with o...ther lawyers and the judge. Brandie has helped us out immensely and we would recommend her to anyone.

She is so unprofessional, I could hardly believe it. I called her office the day the judge appointed her because she was supposed to represent me on a domestic battery charge where anyone could tell by the facts of the case and the evidence in the police report was actually a case of SELF DEFENSE. He...r assistant gave me the spiel, and I asked to make an appointment to meet with Brandie. The assistant said that I wouldn't meet with her until TEN MINUTES before my pre-trial hearing. I'm like, "you've got to be kidding me, right?" To which I got a very awkward "uhm, no.." I've been to court for family law in three different states now, and I've NEVER had an attorney meet me for the first time minutes before a pre-trial. I was appalled, but there was nothing I could do about it. So the day of the hearing approaches, and I go to the courthouse with my advocate from ATVP. She asks for Brandie and the lady behind the counter point behind her to a 40-something year old HAG slouched over her iMac. Unimpressed, I reached out my hand to introduce myself and was met with an up-and-down judgmental scan, a fake half-smile, and a pathetic excuse for a handshake. During meeting with her, it was evident she doesn't give a crap about her clients. She was rude, short, and just plain unpleasant to deal with. She interrupted me and had the audacity to condescend me -- as if as the victim, I was just as much criminal scum as the douchebag who laid his hands on me. She acted irritated with every question I asked, and it always came back to a "I don't know," as if to passive-aggressively communicate that I was wasting her time. By the end of the meeting, I really wondered how she passed the Bar. The Prosecuter ended up extending my hearing and I will be dismissing Brandie and representing myself because I clearly have more passion about injustice than she does. I would NEVER recommend her to ANYONE as a defender!!!
