Ryan did an excellent job representing me in my divorce proceedings. He made a very tumultuous situation more manageable. My divorce was complicated with custody issues involving drugs and alcohol during parenting time; and my former spouse being self-employed which led to a complicated business valuation. Fortunately, Ryan's vast knowledge of family law and business proved invaluable. Ryan was able to get a very good settlement for me at mediation. His use of the Family Law Software was incredibly helpful during the mediation process as well. He is always prepared and an expert negotiator. He was formidable when needed.
Ryan and Georgina are easy to reach via phone and email. They kept me on tract with the large amounts of paperwork. His billing is straightforward and fair. I highly recommend Ryan Kalamaya and Georgina Melbye with RKV Law.

Ryan did a great job sorting through the politics of our case and getting to the true issue. His efforts resulted in a very favorable outcoume for our son. WIthout his help, the politics behind the case would have out weight the actual facts behind the case.

Working with Ryan has been a great experience thus far. Not only does he listen to what I have to say and about how I am feeling, but is also willing to give his 2 cents about things that are important to me. I believe his past experience working with the DA's office gives him a huge advantage over other attorneys.
As Mother of 2 young children Ryan has been sensitive and understanding about the ins and outs of creating a parenting plan that works and coming up with day to day as well as long term solutions.
He has also shown extreme professionalism in dealing with other attorneys as well me.
Divorce can be an emotional experience, if you are lucky enough to work with Ryan he has the ability to help take a lot of the emotion OUT of the equation and help you focus on the issues at hand. In addition, he is extremely tech savvy and is most always reachable.
If you are considering hiring representation it is worth your time to meet with Ryan Kalamaya!
Thank you for all you have done for my children and me Ryan, we feel blessed to have you on our team. :)
This guy is the REAL DEAL!!!

Recently I found myself in a difficult situation in which a large portion of money was being with held from me. A colleague of mine recommended contacting Mr. Kalamaya with my problem, which I did. My first conversation with Ryan was a breath of fresh air as he explained, very clearly, all the legalities surrounding my predicament and the best way to proceed. By the end of the day my situation had vastly improved, and by the end of the month I had received a check for the entire amount owed to me.
In my experience, lawyers seem to taking their time with a case knowing that they can just bill more. Ryan however, proved not only to contradict this sterio-type with his speed and efficiency but also advised me every step of the way on and additional actions we could take compared to the cost and reward of those steps. This open dialog was furthered by useful updates making sure I felt that this case was equal in importance as his other, perhaps larger, cases. I would strongly recommend Ryan to anyone seeking legal help. His services were top notch, and very professional.

Ryan helped our family out with a complicated matter with our special needs child. Ryan was able to negotiate a positive solution in a very short amount that was positive for all parties, saving everyone time, energy and money by avoiding multiple lawsuits. I appreciated Ryan's calm demeanor and his sensitivity to our situation. I am very grateful for the great job he did for us.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
Ryan was a pleasure to work with in an area of law that can often be highly litigious and contested. I have worked with many family law attorneys who encourage their clients to battle with their spouses in a divorce, and these attorneys often employ the same techniques in their negotiations with opposing counsel. While it is important to advocate for your client, it is also important to maintain a good relationship with opposing counsel in order to reach the best settlement for your client, whenever settlement is possible. Ryan's ability to work with opposing counsel is an asset and it did not diminish his ability to fight for his client when necessary. In fact, it often made him sound more reasonable when he did take a stand on certain issues. These attributes helped facilitate a settlement which is useful in almost all divorce cases, but especially those that involve children.
