Josh was all we hoped for in a personal injury lawyer! We were both injured by a reckless driver with a criminal record in 2013. Josh filed a personal injury lawsuit, and pursued our case doggedly and tirelessly. Despite the offending driver pleading guilty to reckless driving causing injuries, his insurance company lied, cheated, stalled, and low-balled their offer for over four years. After realizing that Josh was about to eat their lunch in court, the insurance company finally offering an acceptable settlement three weeks before the trial. We will always be grateful to Josh, Jamie, and Tom for all their superb work!

Josh was very professional and brought a calm to the storm of my DUI. I was able to retain my license, and no interlock. Also, i escaped with minimal consequences upon sentencing. I literally danced with a friend outside of the courtroom! All my friends with DUI'S are super jealous of my favorable outcome! Also, Josh is very attentive, and returns phone calls promptly. Ive had other lawers in the past that did not, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. When you're in a tough situation and have questions, its nice to get them answered quickly. If you're looking for affordable top-notch representation, look no further. Josh is your man! Thanks Josh!

Recently I had my first ever criminal charge levied against me...four misdemeanors associated with domestic violence. I was largely ignorant of the realities of the criminal justice process and what, in general, lay in store for me. All I knew for certain was that I didn't seem to have anyone helping me, my set-in-stone rights seemed to be subjective and negotiable, and most of what I'd seen on TV was complete BS. It was an extremely scary time in my life.
I started researching and interviewed multiple attorneys to assist my cause. We've all heard the lawyer jokes...my perceptions of attorneys were somewhat jaded and, as I learned, inaccurate. When I met with Josh from the McDowell Law Firm, I knew I'd found my attorney. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional, honest, no BS, and I really felt like he was shooting me straight and not giving me a sales pitch. Based on my experiences, it is absolutely critical that, for your BEST defense, you choose an attorney who has prior experience as a District Attorney. Josh has that experience...he knew the prosecution side and the defense side...he knew how they would fight their fight and, as such, how he would best fight my fight.
On day 1 Josh told me two things...1) Don't worry...that's his job now and 2) this is how I think your case will go. My case went...literally...EXACTLY...to the letter...how he said it would on day 1. He just had that level of experience and industry know-how. When I would ask questions throughout the process he would immediately provide answers and site specific precedence from specific cases by name. No go-backs to look it up...he just knew it cold. My case ended up not even going to trial because he was able to get me a full dismissal of all charges to include a sealing of all records. Every case will be different, but for me...it's like it never even happened.
I can't say enough good things about Josh and his team at McDowell Law Firm. He helped me in one of the most difficult times of my entire life. The criminal justice system is complicated and intimidating and, I felt, oddly disrespecting of my rights. Josh turned those tables and was my knowledgeable advocate and ally throughout the process and at the end of the day got me exactly what I was hoping for. I hope to God I never need the services of an attorney again, but if I do, Josh will be my first call.

I was looking at receiving a DUI during an accident I had in Colorado Springs. By following his advice implicitly and trusting in the advice of my lawyer, he helped ensure a reduced sentence. It was a lot of work and not always easy, but he had good advice and I really appreciated all of his help. I would absolutely recommend his services to anyone who is willing to listen to him and work through honest mistakes to be better.

Josh is a great attorney. When I first met with Josh he was very nice and assured me we could get through my case in the smoothest way possible. Josh was there by my side for everything and helped me every step of the way. I could not recommend a better attorney. If you need a lawyer please set up an appointment with Josh and you will not be disappointed.

Josh made dealing with my case easy. Being from out of state, I had no idea what my options were or how to go about my situation. Mr. McDowell was informative and helpful the whole way through up until the closing of my case.

Best lawyer ever, couldn't be happy with the council josh gave. He got an extremely good deal, I never expected to get as good of a deal as josh got me. I would highly recommended him.

I was pulled over for a DUI (pulled over for speeding, no injuries or damage) about 2.5 years ago now and I thought my life was completely ruined. I went to Josh for a consultation and he reassured me that I would be the first person he's seen go to jail over one DUI. He asked me what my priorities were (what kind of fine I would be able to pay, willingness to do community service/alcohol courses, etc.) and basically gave me a customized plan to get going from there. The entire time, his calm and confident demeanor really did provide some much needed comfort.
After getting the total cost of his services (which was very reasonable, considering it was a flat rate even if we had to actually go to court), his office assistant provided us with a very amenable payment plan.
I eventually got an appropriate sentence (community service, alcohol reeducation classes, 30 day suspended license, breathalyzer in the car) and it was made so much less painful because I had Josh to defend me and then walk me through everything.
After about two years, I had a question come up on a job application that was worded a little confusingly; I didn't want to lie about anything, but I also didn't want to open that door unnecessarily. I sent Josh an email with the question and he got back to me by the end of the day with how I should legally answer it. It's incredible that after two years he was still happy to look up my case and answer in such an incredibly timely manner.
If you can't tell, I had an amazing experience with Josh McDowell. At least for DUIs, he knows the law and the system inside and out. I would highly recommend him to any of my friends in a tight spot.
(For the record, I haven't driven if I even suspect that I might have alcohol in my system since that night. Uber, Lyft, traditional taxi, call a friend, anything but driving. I still had a hefty fine to pay and plenty of community service to soberly think about my actions, but I can't even imagine going through all of that without Josh's counsel.)
