My fiancè was charged with a serious federal charge in Abilene and we needed an experienced defense lawyer to help us out . The lawyer he first had , was just very unexperienced and did not even want to try to help him out and said all he was able to get my fiancè was 13YEARS . I spoke to multiple... lawyers before speaking to Mr.Lorfing on the phone to try to get him better representation. Every lawyer i spoke to was just trying to sell themself to me and tell me exactly what I wanted to hear but not Mr.Lorfing. I live in california with a two hour time difference and he still manages to answer my calls or text to answer any questions i have . He also always keeps me updated without even having to ask which is very rare in many lawyers .He is one of the most kindest people i have met . Federal courts are much different that state cour...ts and it was clear our first attorney didn’t specialize in federal law. He ended up pleading to a much less serious crime and serving less than a year in federal prison. I cannot thank him enough. He wasn’t cheap, but I would have paid ten times that amount to have my husband’s life back. If you’ve been charged with a federal crime in West Texas, Russell Lorfing is THE ATTORNEY you hire. I was looking at a really long time in federal prison and Russell was able to get me cleared of my charges through his expansive knowledge of both sides of the prosecuting and defensive sides of the law.
