also known as Darren Tray Payne
I am proud to be an attorney in West Texas where we have offices in Lubbock (where my wife and 4 daughters call home) and Post, my hometown.
After graduating from law school, I entered the world of private practice. After service as an associate attorney for a short period of time, I joined the ranks of the Lubbock County District Attorney's Office as an assistant DA.
I served as a prosecutor for 8 1/2 years. I ended my public service career having been the misdemeanor chief, felony court chief, chief of homicide and served 5 years as a special assistant United States attorney.
I have tried over 100 jury trials and been involved in several thousand hearings and bench trials.
I am experienced, aggressive (when necessary) and dependable. As a small town boy, I was taught the value of integrity, dependability and customer service. My staff and lawyers have been taught these values as well.
Whether needing experienced help for a criminal charge, a complex guardianship, a contested divorce, or even a will, probate or real estate matter, we are small enough to know who you are, but large enough to handle all of your problems.
Let us be your first call.
