After reading the many reviews on here I thought I was given a good attorney. That’s where the hope ended. Lawyer has broken several promises to me. Has told me on several occasions that my situation would be over. Asked me to gather evidence which I did. That was in July 2025. Today is Nov 21 almost... December and not only has she not looked at it but she hasn’t even downloaded. I’ve spent over 5 hours on that. Being from Houston it’s quite the journey to Austin. After driving to Austin and even asking two days before if court was still on and being told yes by her she told us to go back home as she had court somewhere else. 10 hours of wasted driving time for my family. I’ve been told several times she was going to meet with the prosecutor to get this dismissed. Over 10 times. Not one thing has been done to date. I’ve seen my health insurance canceled despite me pleading with her. I’ve sent videos of my ex attacking me even putting fentanyl in my drink. Yet no movement from my attorney at all. I’m not sure how all these positive reviews got here, however I’ve not seen that attorney at all. The worst thing of all is that I’ve let down my daughter based on the words and promises of Diana. She’s now ignoring me and I have no clue what to do. Once again the system has failed to protect the innocent. I’ve never been so disappointed in a person. Hopefully those that read this take this into consideration on who they chose to represent them. Maybe she just doesn’t like me and she will do better for you. I don’t know. I do know that she has failed my family and myself.

I researched criminal defense attorneys in Austin and a lot of them came up on Avvo. I had free consultations and some attorneys quoted me an outrageous amount. Diana Buss came up on my refined search and gave me a free over the phone consultation because I told her I was unable to physically have a ...consultation due to my work schedule. Diana was very understanding and worked with my schedule – I had a consultation with her almost at 7pm! She was also very affordable – my ticket was for a “hit and run” although the other party hit me. Diana explained the process thoroughly and explained possible outcomes. She was confident however that my case would be dismissed – and she was right! We went to court yesterday 7/12; she arrived early to chat with me and sat next to me in court. We were there a little over an hour only because of the cases that were ahead of us. She spoke to the prosecutor and my case was dismissed. The only thing I had to pay for was the ticket and I also have a 90 day period in which I cannot get any (driving) tickets. I recommended her to a friend already and if need be, I’d use her again. Diana is very personable and even showed me pictures of her 5 month old son. It’s refreshing to know that there’s an attorney who knows what she’s doing, isn’t trying to take all of your money and keeps you informed. Diana text me as soon as she received updates and sent me reminders of my court date. Although I didn’t have to appear, I did because I wanted to meet my attorney and I’m thankful that I did. Diana, thank you for being an honest and personable attorney.

I had dozens of mailings from law firms with copies of a warrant that I was completely unaware of. Unfortunately this is a common thing. I hadn’t been in trouble since I was 18 years old so after seeing those letters I was in a panic to get help. I must have called on every letter in my mailbox but... either the fees were too high or I just couldn’t get a good answer from the lawyers assistant. Assistant I say. Google – Lawyers in Austin, Tx Travis County and this site popped up. I just happened to come across Diana’s name within AVVO and called her and I am so glad I did. She calmed my nerves in our first conversation over the phone, told me the steps that we were going to take if I hired her and within months my case was dismissed. Diana treats you like a human being, she was early to any court hearings or meetings, she sent detailed copies and instructions, and she knows what she’s doing. God forbid I ever get involved with “the law” again, but if I do, I would call Diana in a heartbeat. Her fee structure was just right. Even after my case was dismissed she allowed me to continue with my monthly installments on my balance. I would HIGHLY recommend her!!!

Recently I obtained a warrant without bond for failure to complete my SWAP for DWI and court fees in time. This basically means that I would have to just sit out my sentence in jail without any other options. I was freaking out because school is about to start, and I have two jobs. There is just too ...much I could lose having to sit in Jail for 20 days. I hired Diana after shopping around quite a bit. She was extremely up front with me, and told me all the possibilities and options. When I asked her about payment she informed me that she didn't want to take my money until she knew she would be able to do something for me! I find this really awesome. Every other attorney I talked with wanted a payment before they spoke on my behalf. Even if they weren't sure if they could help me. Diana went to court the next day and talked to the judge/clerk off the record to make sure that she could help. She received positive news so I payed her the next day. The following afternoon she let me know that the judge had filed a warrant recall and would allow me to resubmit to complete my SWAP. She called me personally and emailed me my recall card that day. :D I have used a handful of lawyers for different matters since I've been in Austin and I can honestly say that I will surely hire her again if I end up with any other legal matters. She was very kind, honest, prompt, and knowledgeable.

I first contacted Morales & Navarrete Attorneys about bail for my grandson. The answering service took my name and number and Diana Buss-Ray was the first to respond. She said she would meet me at the Travis County Jail at a specific time and kept her word. I was amazed because there were others at t...he jail who were still waiting for their bondsperson. Initially she came to help with bail, but asked if I would like representation for my grandson and I immediately said yes. I commend Diana because she was prompt and explained my grandson's charge to both of us. Throughout the case she explained the court proceedings and the prosecuting requests to my grandson and I. My grandson liked her and felt assured with her as I did. She is a straightforward person and I like that in a lawyer. She is honest and takes her job seriously. She listens to you, but requires that you take charges seriously. That impressed me and in my opinion is a very responsible lawyer. She doesn't take any bull. You can depend on Diana to do a good job. My grandson's charge was dismissed after he completed the requirements. Thanks to Diana he will have a second chance. I will definitely keep her phone number and hope to keep her as a personal lawyer to handle personal legal issues, for example my Probate Will. Thank you Diana for helping my grandson and giving me piece of mind throughout his case.
