I've been assisting family law clients for the past 10 years.  During this time, I have found that the best way to handle a case is with the combination of tenacity and integrity.

In the beginning, I like to assess a case's strengths and weaknesses, and then aim to improve those strenghts and minimize the weaknesses for the duration of the case.

Knowledgeable, clear, timely, and very helpful
I was referred to Mr. Jackson for a business matter. From start to finish he was responsive, obviously competent, and asked questions and listened to be sure he was giving me what I needed. His expertise and communication was clear, and he was so helpful! He will be me go-to-first option for any future legal needs that fall into his practice areas. Highly recommended.

He Gets It!
Justin and his paralegal Melody were amazing. I consulted multiple attorneys regarding my case and Justin was the only one who made me feel confident and assured. Some wanted to be overly brutal with my ex, some expected me to fold for him, but Justin GETS IT. He understood my needs and read my personality, and knew the right way to approach my situation and guided me every step of the way. Justin is honest and down to earth. He gave me realistic and probable answers and expectations, never tried to fluff or polish issues that arose just to please me. Melody was wonderful and always helpful, taking time to walk through expectations for hearings, meditations, etc. Melody is close & personal with her clients; she was really involved in my case & felt emotions with me, both frustration and celebration, and everything in between. It truly felt as though they were on my side and took my case because they believed in it and wanted to help me, not to add names to their client list. They powered through false CPS claims, harassment, verbal abuse, and my out of state move, never giving me any doubt that I was taking the right positions, made the best choices, and that we would win my case. This isn't a law firm that you never hear from and leaves you sitting, twiddling your thumbs, hoping they've got it together. No, this legal team is there every step of the way and always looking out for your best interests and those of your children! I never felt like they were milking time or loading the bill. In fact, they were aware of my financial situation and always offered ways to save me money. I was never pressured for payment and I will always be grateful for that. Child custody cases are emotional enough, and it was a blessing to work with a team that didn't add financial stress to the load. Custody cases and divorce are heart wrenching, stressful, and can mentally break you. You need someone who will leave you feeling confident and even relieved, every time you hang up the phone or walk into court. I was trembling and close to vomiting for every hearing, appearance, etc., but as soon as Justin arrived and laid out his game plan, seeing him at work and watching him fight for you, I always walked out with my head held high. I have a tendency to be too nice, but Justin spoke up for me every time and made sure I never wavered from my position or accepted less than I was entitled. He didn't just fight for me, he fought for my kids, and I'll always be thankful!

Justin is GREAT
Five Stars for the Jackson Law Firm! I was really nervous when I started my search for a family law attorney because I knew that the most important things in my life were at risk: my children, my home, my assets and my ability to provide for my kids in the future. I knew I had found the right attorney the moment I walked into Justin's office. My divorce was nasty! My ex wife was determined to try and take my young children away from me and tried to fabricate all types of narratives to get her way. She tried to use family protective orders, stalking allegations, cps investigations, accusations of adultry, drugs and abuse with multiple police reports and every other tactic you could think of as leverage in our custody battle - but I'm happy to say I ended up with 50/50 custody of my children and an equal split of community property. As far as logistics go - Justin and his staff worked with a sense of purpose and I never felt that they were "milking the clock." His office was always responsive and billing was clear, understandable, detailed and consistent. Justin is an attorney that just "gets it." He understands things quickly and his staff was amazing to work with. I can honestly tell you, whether you are in an uncontested divorce and just looking for someone who understands divorce procedures and will work efficiently and accurately - or - a hard hitting attorney with lots of trial experience that will roll up his sleeves and is not afraid to fight back on your behalf... you need to call The Jackson Law Firm

Awesome!
Justin took my case with a short notice, I was blindsided with Divorce papers, Justin had only a few days to prepare, I know he had sleepless nights before my court date because he was so prepared and ready, it blowed my mind the attention to detail and how prepared he was, long story short he got me full custody of my kids, coming from California I didn't even know that was possible in Texas, we end up working out the best deal for my two little ones and myself, No matter the circumstances Justin will do his best to help you, I'll be forever grateful and I would never hesitate to send my friends and family his way, Thank you Jackson Law firm!

Needs 10 stars
I originally hired an Austin attorney, before I knew Justin and his firm, I was in the middle of a very nasty custody battle which included false allegations by my ex to removing my daughter from TX. Long story short, my original attorney dropped the ball, she didn't even show up to day 1 of a 2 day trial. Needless to say I lost everything. I fired her and met with 2 other attorneys who both referred me to Justin. I ended up meeting with him a couple days later and he saw through the BS that my ex laid out, he listened and knew I had a case. He wasn't scared or intimidated by the judge or opposing attorney. He said he could fix everything and I believed him. I knew I found the right guy for the job. Slowly buy surely, court appearance after court appearance, he started chipping away at my case. Each time we were in court we had a victory, from removing the protective order placed on me by the judge (false allegations), to getting my summer visitations and ultimately getting back to the original divorce agreement of 50/50 custody. We're not done, the fight continues and we're going for full custody. It's a long and bumpy road but I can tell you, with Justin by your side you will make it through.

Dads do get custody!
My divorce was a nightmare. False assault charges, 2 rounds of depositions, 2 rounds of temporary order hearings. lots of subpoenas, restraining orders and injunctions against my ex wife, private investigators, etc. You name it my divorce had it. At the start I was looking at only getting standard visitation with my 8 year old daughter. 7 months later, In my final divorce decree I was awarded primary parent and my ex-wife has expanded standard visitation. Surprised? Well I can tell you it would not have been possible without the persistence, dedication, experience, and hard work of Justin. Men, if you are getting divorced, you love your children and you are a great dad, you own it to them and yourself to call Justin.

Wouldn't change a thing...
I hired Mr. Jackson this past January to represent me in my divorce. Having never gone through divorce proceedings previously, I felt very unsure as to what questions I needed to even be asking of my attorney. Mr. Jackson and his staff were extremely helpful guiding me through the process and answering all of my questions regardless of the time of day. There were more than a few unexpected bumps along the way, but Mr. Jackson always remained calm and explained in detail my options and what way he felt obstacles could be removed and/or avoided altogether. I fully appreciated his experience and knowledge of family law. I wouldn’t change a single decision he and I made.

Excellent
Justin represented me in a custody case and did an excellent job of understanding how to navigate the finer details of the legal system and the attitude and emotional disposition of the presiding judge.

Jackson Law Firm
Going to Mr. Jackson was the best decision I made in my divorce case. It was a complicated case and the few law firms I went to before Mr. Jackson, assure me that I had ALL to lose and the kids mother could do what she was doing. I was at a lost when I met with Mr. Jackson. I explain to Mr. Jackson I wanted a divorce and that the kids mom had taken and move the kids to Hereford Tx, almost 9hrs away from Austin, against my will. I told him what I wanted, I wanted the kids to move back to Austin so I can see them as much as possible. Within 4-6 weeks I had my kids with me while the process of custody was underway. At the conclusion of our case I got 50/50 custody, I do not have to pay child support, medical insurance has to be provided by the mom. I end up with everything I wanted, my kids back in Austin, and more. After a few lawyers telling me I will have to keep paying child support and the kids will stay with their mom in Hereford Tx like she wanted to, Mr. Jackson made me see some light again and got my Kids back for me. It was just AMAZING what he did and glad I met Mr. Jackson! Everyone keeps asking me how did I end up with this great outcome and I tell them to meet Mr. Jackson. I have and always will keep recommending Jackson Law Firm! Mr. Garcia

Great Attorney
Justin was my attorney in a child support enforcement case. He did a fantastic job, and forced my ex to pay all of the money he owed on the day of the hearing to avoid jail time. My ex and I have battled for years, and Justin was the first attorney to actually intimidate my ex. He knows the law, and that's important!

Excellent Attorney
Justin is an excellent attorney. Justin has seen my family through several custody issues past and present and his honesty, devotion, and ethical principles always prevail the best outcome for for our family. Justin always listens to our concerns, addresses our concerns, answers our questions, and always reminds us not to panic. Justin truly has the best interest of the child at heart when he works and my family and I are beyond thankful for his representation and can't thank him enough for all that he has settled for our family thus far. If you're looking for an honest, devoted, and ethical attorney CALL Justin!

The One!
Justin Jackson will always be THE ONE I turn to when I need legal assistance. I retained Justin Jackson seven long years ago, after another law firm left me wondering if there was a honest, trustworthy, and dependable lawyer out there to help me. I found all those qualities and so much more in Justin Jackson. So, SOO very much of HIS time went Into my case. He listened at every appointment and was able to calm my fears and provide advice and encouragement that enabled me to carry myself with confidence and poise into that courtroom...although my whole world was falling apart. Over the last seven years he has always been there when problems arose. Even through a two year custody battle, I always felt that my case was his first priority. AMAZING considering the number of cases he is handling at any given time. I trust him with my him children's wellbeing, knowing he will always invest himself 100%. I am so beyond grateful for Justin... He will always be the one I trust to right the wrongs and keep going to bat for me and my children!!

Lack of ethics
We hired Justin as my family blindsided with Divorce papers, After providing him with 6 folder full of records and he was so unprepared prepared in court, it blew my mind. The inattention to detail and how very unprepared he was. We were unnerved when, just before the hearing he asked for more money - this was after having been paid the retainer well before the trial. Long story short he had to be asked to say the obvious by us during the trial and the judge kept looking at him for checking his phone repeatedly during the trial rather than listening to the hearing. He ended up working out the best deal for the opposing attorney and went over to the other attorney patting him on the back. No matter the circumstances Justin will do his best to help himself while harming our kiddos and extended family. Thank you Jackson Law firm!

Not trust worthy
I retained Mr. Jackson for a family law case and it was pulling teeth to get him to respond to me. He wouldn’t respond to emails in timely manner and would just ignore them. He does not have an open line of communication and I felt like I was the least of his worries. He was of money and time and took 6 months to file one piece of paperwork.

Worst attorney ever
I have worst experience ever. They took my case and my retainer and since than they don’t care how many times I called and tried to reach. The attorney is hard to find in office for appointments and never shows up on the days of appointment. The staff is rude and unprofessional. They will waste your time and money. If you want representation in a case, this is not a lawyer you are looking for.

Not a good experience
It was my first divorce and I didn't know what to do. He offered no advice and more often than not didn't reply to emails. I had more advice in a 15 minute conversation with another attorney when I was looking around than all that I received from him. I had to meet with him to ask him to respond to my communications. He made multiple guarantees that were not kept including going to my old house to retrieve my possessions. I asked him to draft the decree and he did not. He let the other attorney do it. More than two months later I still hadn't received one word or the decree. It turns out the other attorney forgot to file it, and both me and my soon to be ex wife thought we were divorced. Months after that I was prompted to pay for filing my ex-wife's Special Warranty Deed and it was not filed yet. She was already trying to rent the house without the assumption of liability being filed. There was a court ordered deadline and this was months afterwards.
