Adoption

We were on our way to Texas from Utah for an adoption when our attorney called and backed out on us. We found Michael and he was able to get the paperwork done quickly. He was able to file our paper work to be able to cross state lines with the baby faster than we thought possible. He was a life save...r for our family.

A man who really gets behind and cares for his clients.

A couple of years ago I was faced with one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through; a custody battle. Mike somehow made me feel so much more at ease during such a difficult time. He always took the time to really listened to me, got back to me right away when I called, and got in touch wit...h me as soon as he had any updates or information. He didn't feel like my lawyer, he felt like a friend by the end of it. I really appreciate him and all he did for me and my family. I wouldn't recommend anyone else besides him!

Knowledgeable and Efficient Lawyer

Two years ago, I had the pleasure of working with Mike Whelan. I knew I was about to go through what could have easily been a messy custody battle. My ex had made threats to me and has a very unstable lifestyle. When I first called Mr. Whelan, I was scared and uncertain of how to navigate through ...this situation. He was able to put my mind at ease within the first phone call. His personality is direct, but he is also kind and has a good sense of humor to help make the difficult process much more comfortable. Over the course of four months, Mr. Whelan was able to quickly and efficiently draw up paperwork to keep my two-year-old daughter safe. He was calm and professional in dealing with my belligerent ex, and very patient in answering my questions. Mr. Whelan was very affordable in comparison to other family lawyers. He was always available to answer questions. He also was able to work around my teacher schedule so I would not have to miss much work. When he wrote the final paperwork, I felt like it was a joint venture in that he wrote the drafts and then quickly sent them to me for edits. The whole process was quick and painless. In the end, Mr. Whelan was able to word the paperwork expertly so that my daughter was kept safe, but she is still able to have a relationship with her father. If and when I need a lawyer again, I will ALWAYS go to Mike Whelan.
