Attorney, Colm Keane agreed to take my case which really made me happy. He explained to me how this case would be handled by the court and what he wanted me to do prior to the court date. I did as Attorney Keane suggested and the court dropped the case as he indicated would probably happen. Attorn...ey Keane was professional from the moment we talked until this issue was resolved. I worked with Colm on my divorce after my previous attorney, Erin Groce, abruptly closed her practice and relocated to Austin. I was recommended to Kreiger & Ongert by Ms. Groce's, it was my mistake for following through. Colm and Mrs. Ongert did little to assist me through my divorce proceedings.... I explained to them what the situation was, what I wanted, and how volatile and argumentative my then spouse would be. 90% of my communication was with with their staff online via a website/app called MyCase, with the exception of random phone calls asking for more funds. They missed deadlines set on the Court Docket, even AFTER I asked them about the dates. They weren't firm with opposing counsel to get Discovery Documents back to aid my case. They ignored numerous requests for Mediation, stating "nothing happens immediately." Only to FINALLY Schedule mediation after they missed a huge deadline with the court and needed to file for an extension, which ultimately cost me more. Once mediation happened, 2 months , I explained to Colm what my former spouse would do, yet we sat there over the allotted time, while opposing counsel and my former spouse nitpicked over what mugs she wanted, among other knickknacks. To which Colm stated he couldn't believe this was happening. I stated that is what I had been dealing with for years. If you want an attorney/firm that is going to be there for you, steer clear of Krieger & Ongert, as well as Colm. While they have experience on paper, they hardly showed their expertise. They simply collected a paycheck.

I consulted with Colm about my case before I hired him for representation he listened to me and we talked about my case in detail. I had heard about his staff from a friend and was skeptical, I mean a honest attorney?? Colm always shot straight with me, before and during my case. He never made... any promises that he couldn't back up. I like how he carried himself at court along with the way he spoke to everyone. Colm never made me feel as I wasn't as important as his other clients. Phone calls & emails were returned in a timely manner when ever I had a question. I can't say enough good things about him while he took care of my case. Hiring a lawyer can be a very difficult thing to do, I truly believe that Colm and his staff looked out for my best interest through out my ordeal. Colm went over with me many scenarios about my case and a few "if's" after each court visit, gave me the update on everything after each visit to court. The only negative thing I can say is that I was told to be at court at a certain time by my lawyers staff and the time was an hour after court started, lucky I was at court but in the hallway.
