David B. Sloane

David Sloane is a Fort Worth criminal defense attorney and founding attorney of Sloane & Routledge Law Firm, formerly Sloane Law Firm. He has practiced criminal law for more than 20 years and brings a distinctive law-enforcement background to the defense of individuals accused of serious criminal offenses throughout Fort Worth, Tarrant County, and North Texas.

Before practicing law, David served as a police lieutenant. That experience gives him practical insight into how criminal investigations are conducted, how officers develop probable cause, how traffic stops and arrests are handled, and where weaknesses may exist in the government’s case.

David has extensive experience defending DWI and drug-related charges, including marijuana and THC offenses. He has instructed police recruits on the proper administration of standardized field sobriety tests and has training related to the Intoxilyzer 5000 breath-testing system historically used by law enforcement in Texas. He is also a member of the National College for DUI Defense.
