Barry Lane Bobbitt

I recently hired this firm Bobbitt Law to take care of a speeding ticket, that was just a few miles over the posted speed 63 in a 60. Needless to say customer service wasn't on point at all, horrid and needed a vast amount of training and staff development. They do not give accurate information nor d...o they contact you back in a timely manner or keep you informed of what's going on. I had to call them myself to find out everything pertaining to my case, this information should have been provided to me without me having to call and inquire. However I am satisfied with the outcome, although I just don't understand why the ticket wasn't simply dismissed since the officer didn't show up for court. As I have seen this happen for others in this same situation. I think the attorney's need to do a better job and more to inform the courts that defensive driving, deferred, and dismissal etc. should be immediate and available options for CDL drivers that were stopped in their personal vehicles and were not in a commercial vehicles at that time. Especially when they have never had no other tickets prior whatsoever like in my situation. CDL drivers should be given these options just as all other drivers. I had to do community service which should have been issued at a minimal amount like 2, 4, 6, but not more than 8 hours, there should be a limit. All outlandish amounts of time for community service should be avoided for these minuscule type of incidents and minor tickets. Overall the ticket was dismissed which was good however myself along with others just wish it was a much quicker and easier route that could have been taken to get there to the Land of DISMISSAL. Bobbitt Law firm did meet and beat the price of other firms and attorney's that were also doing speeding ticket dismissals for a lower price and guaranteeing dismissal for minor incidents such as this. So bobbitt did get the ticket dismissed in the end after everything so I am giving them 3 stars they did an A-OK job.

I hired this firm for two traffic tickets in Fort Worth. They had me pay them over $400 to get the warrants dropped, and to represent me. They then sent me a letter that said both tickets had been dismissed. I wake up today and find out that I have two warrants out, for those same two tickets exactly... what I already paid them for. Apparently the dismissed letter was sent by accident, and I had a court date August 5th, that they did not tell me about, essentially stealing my money, and leaving me high and dry, with the same tickets back in warrant status. Did not notify me, did not even bother to make a simple phone call to tell me anything before, or after the fact. Do not use these people. Blatant lies, confusion, and utter incompetence. Now I get to start all over for these tickets, and pay all this money again to take care of it. When I spoke with them, they basically told me since I missed the court date I was unaware of, to kick rocks, and that they couldn't help me. Absolutely ridiculous. Learn from my mistake, and hire someone that will actually do their job, and not rip you off.

I've had too many issues with Bobbitt to list - feel free to message me for more info. I found out about Bobbitt Law through a mailer, which FINE I get it - probably should have been a bigger red flag. I don't know much about the traffic court system, and I received an obviously bogus ticket, but... I would have been more successful if I had attended court without an attorney. Among other issues, Bobbitt told me that they would attend my initial court date for me so they could get an extension (and encouraged me to skip it), but despite a contract and payment - they failed to show up, so of course I received a warrant for my arrest. That's so completely unacceptable. In addition to the issue of the warrant itself, there are also fees associated with a warrant. Eventually my court date was rescheduled and in the middle of the hearing - the lawyer pulled me into the hall to ask if there was a collision involved. There wasn't. And he should have known that going in. I've asked Bobbitt for a refund, and they haven't responded. This process has made me lose a little more faith in "the system," and I'll definitely never use or recommend Bobbitt Law.
