About me

A. E. "Rett" Gray III is an attorney based in the DFW metroplex who dedicates his entire practice to the fervent defense of men and women accused of DWI and other criminal offenses.  He has defended clients as attorney of record in cases ranging from first degree felonies to class C misdemeanors. He has handled criminal cases for clients in 19 counties, and citations in 15 Municipal jurisdictions of our great State.

He was awarded his J.D. from Baylor University in 2009.  He was elected and served a term each as Student Bar Association Class President and Class Vice President.

While at Baylor Law, he served as a research assistant to Prof. David Guinn, Faculty Chair of Constitutional law. His work for professor Guinn focused entirely on a presentation on the current status of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

In addition to participating in intermural sports, he was selected to play on the BLS Softball team, "DWI Guys" which competed in the Waco Men's Softball League.

After graduation from Baylor, he apprenticed under the tutelege of Mr. Will Hutson in his DWI and criminal defense practice in Waco, Texas.

Originally from the west side of Houston, Rett is an avid fan of professional and collegiate sports, live music, and just about every variety of cuisine he's ever tasted.

  • Brent Barnes Ivy

Rett is a firm believer in the Constitution and vigorously advocates for his clients' rights to uphold the sacred doctrine. He does not judge his clients based on the crimes for which they are accused, and always makes sure they get a fair shake with courts and prosecutors. If I ever find myself in the back seat of a police car in DFW, Rett Gray will be who I dial with my "one phone call."
