About Jake

Jake McDonald was born and raised in Houston, Texas. His desire to practice law developed at a young age, as both of his parents were lawyers. As an undergraduate, he studied psychology and was published for his research in the field of human perception.  He later applied this unique insight to his study of the law and representation of clients.

 

Prior to starting his own legal practice, Jake worked at multiple boutique litigation firms in the Houston area where he gained practical experience in the fields of personal injury law, family law, and civil litigation. He developed a reputation with his clients for hard work and honesty.

 

Jake connected with his clients on a personal level and didn't like the fact that the law firms were charging so much for so little. He decided to start a law practice dedicated to delivering high quality legal services for a fraction of the cost of other firms.

My experience with Mr. McDonald was absolutely stellar. He worked a divorce case for me, and I must say he was extraordinary. He walked me through page by page my divorce decree, and explained everything in great detail. He always kept me informed with any paperwork I had to sign, and always emailed me back in a timely manner on any questions I had about the process. I highly recommend Mr. Mcdonald for anyone that needs a divorce attorney, and I will absolutely use him again if I ever need a lawyer again.

Awesome Lawyer

Jake McDonald helped with my divorce and child support cases and it was kinda difficult because I was divorcing one guy and trying to get child support on another guy. I had a child with another man while still legally married but separated and he knew just how to handle it. It took some time getting it all taken care of because we had to do the divorce first and once that was finalized then he did my child support case, but he did it the right way and he was so awesome and smart. I would definitely recommend Jake McDonald and thanks so much for the help!

Persistent and Sincere

McDonald helped me with my divorce case. The divorce was a challenge as I resided in another city while I chose to start the process in Houston given that the father of my child lives here. After I moved back to Houston with my child in efforts to find a solution for the sake of all, McDonald had everything set up as far as the decree, court appearance, and child support. This was great because divorce is just too stressful. It was very important for me to not have restrictions on my decree and have child support set up in a timely manner. McDonald did this for me and was persistent and sincere throughout the course of my divorce.

Divorce and Car Accident

I hired Jake to handle my car accident in 2015. He did such a seller job that when my marriage was on the rocks I knew exactly who I wanted to handle the issue. He advised me on how to handle the situation and if I needed a divorce he would be there. A short six months later he was hired to handle the matter. He not only helped me receive the custody and monkery items I wanted--we actually exceeded the amounts in a pre-trial settlement. I will use Jake in any future matters and will 100% send any friends his way. Thanks again for being there, Jake.
