DWI Case Experience As soon as i walked in the office, and sat down and read the letters that people wrote about John, and the amazing job he did for them, i got a sense that i was making the right chooice. John never made me feel less then a person for the accusation being made against me, which was a DWI. He told me what i needed to hear and was always honest. He never promised it would be easy case for him to handle, but he did one thing that stuck out . IF YOU TAKE IT TO COURT FOR TRIAL, YOU HAVE A 50% CHANCE OF BEING FOUND NOT GUILTY, TRIAL BY JURY, BUT IF YOU TAKE A PLEAD DEAL, YOU TAKE AWAY THAT 50%. So i tought to myself, do i take a plead deal and and convict myself for something i didnt do, or do i like the 50% chance odds. So we took it too trial. After 2 days of trial, and john amazing knowledge and experience, the jurys verdict brought me to tears, "NOT GUILTY" I had lost all hope before the trial, and was mentally stressed because of what a guilty verdict for a dwi would have for the rest of my life. My arrest was in March of 2015, and on october 2016, it was over. this dark cloud that was always hanging over me, was gone. John and his staff worked with me, and his payment plan meet my needs, because being a middle class working citizen is hard to try to fight a dwi. Where do I start? I drank, I drove, I got pulled over and then did EVERYTHING wrong. I confessed on video that I had been drinking, took all the field sobriety tests that, although I looked okay on video, the officer said I failed and finally I blew a .128 and then a .133. Giofreddi got me off! Tha...t's right!!!! 100% off!!!! No guilty sentence, no jail, no fine, NOTHING!!!! He was so brilliant in court, that I EVEN THOUGHT I WAS NOT GUILTY!!! Yes... I, who knew that I was in fact guilty, would have said NOT GUILTY because of reasonable doubt. INCREDIBLE!!! Most incredible and brilliant legal work that I could have ever imagined possible!

One night after a Dallas Stars game I lightly rear-ended a car coming down the steep decline exit of a parking garage. I had been drinking earlier in the night, about 1.5 hours removed from my last drink. The person I hit was angry, and wanted to call the cops. I calmly agreed and remained in the... vehicle. When the police officer arrived, the fender bender was the last thing on his mind. After admitting to consuming alcohol earlier in the night, he became aggressive in his pursuit of evidence against me. At that point I refused to divulge any more information as politely as possible. I refused the field sobriety test, as well as the breathalyzer. My blood was drawn 2.5 hours after my last drink, about 1 hour after the cop had arrived. I submitted to the blood test, realizing a warrant would ultimately reach the same conclusion. After shopping attorneys I ran into John and hired him immediately. That first meeting I learned that many of the things I did the night of my arrest weren't in my best interest. This was shocking as I felt I had a good understanding of what to do in the situation. I'm unsure exactly how many days, but what felt like 2 months later, I received the reults of my blood test. .18 (can't remember thousandth place) My charge would be for a class A misdemeanor and under state law was required to equip my vehicle with an interlock device. 11 months later John got my case dismissed. Regardless of his phenomenal abilities as an attorney on the case I hired him for, the knowledge of how to handle future encounters which you will gain from John is equal in value to the price he charges for legal representation. When you combine his representation and knowledge, the result in an incredible bargain! John and Staff thanks for everything, y'all are the best!

I spoke with several Attorneys before selecting John to represent me in my DWI case. Unlike many reviewers I was unfortunately found guilty but received the best outcome for a guilty verdict. John is very passionate about his cases and is very experienced in what he does. His rates were actually... fair in comparison to the other Attorneys. Trish and the rest of the office were responsive, friendly and kept me in the loop. John provides much information about what to do and not to do, how the process works, what your options are, and what the timing and possible outcomes may be. I am a detailed person and this was very helpful to me in deciding how to proceed. I had unwisely submitted to all sobriety tests the police requested of me including field sobriety tests and breathalyzer tests and even answered all of their questions. Never will I do that again. Even though I felt the deck was stacked against me, John explained how he would challenge all of those things. It made sense and what stuck with me is that you have no chance to win if you don't take it to trial. It took a long time to get to trial and was very stressful but John and his office helped me to deal with it until the day finally came a little over two years later. At trial, John was a force to be reckoned with. He did an excellent job offering arguments to create doubt for all of the tests and testimony, including a high breathalyzer test result. I was amazed. John was great at countering my poor decision to take all of the tests. The end result was guilty but with no probation and minimum sentence. Lower than the deals the DA offered over the two years. I would still highly recommend John if you find yourself in a similar situation. Depending on the jury on your day in court, even the best case can be lost or the worst case can be won if you go to trial. I am convinced John gives you the best odds possible and at a reasonable rate and helps you through a difficult time of your life. Even the Judge spoke highly of him. I would not like to be on the prosecutions side of his cases. If I need legal advice in the future I will be contacting John again.

I had to go through an agonizing multi-year case with the DA's office. Each time I showed up they teased a plea or held up a discovery. Gioffredi's office fought, prepared me for a plea AND a trial-- and I got a clean not guilty. You don't want a lawyer that sets you up for a plea. You want someo...ne that has 2 independent interns learning how to defend watching him work, and every defense attorney in town commenting during a recess, and judges knowing his reputation when he defends you. That's what I got. I knew I was innocent, and Mr. Gioffredi proved it. My case wasn't a slam dunk, and while I was waiting for the not guilty-- we were prepping a way to get no time and no fine on a conviction. Its a privilege to get a jury of your peers but its a blessing to be defended by the best. Mr. Gioffredi is on top of all phases of the court and he can win it in voir doir. I had a DA going for my throat and Gioffredi calmly reminded everyone to focus on reasonable doubt. I have my life back.
