I am a second-generation Dallas criminal lawyer. I began watching my father, Ed Gray, try cases when I was very young and watched my first murder trial when I was 10 years old. It was a Not Guilty verdict, after which the jury came out of the box and hugged the Defendant who had been protecting his property from a burglar when he shot him 6 times. I knew then that criminal defense law was what I wanted to do. What could be better than defending an innocent person from the forces of evil and unjust prosecution.
My father Ed is a legendary Dallas criminal lawyer who won 99% of his cases as a prosecutor, and most of his cases as a defense lawyer. One notable case that he lost was The State of Texas v. Richard Miles. That conviction was eventually overturned after Centurian Ministries and The Innocence Project uncovered evidence not turned over to the Defense, which proved that Richard Miles was innocent This encouraged my father to write the book entitled Henry Wade's Tough Justice: How Dallas County Presecutors Led the Nation in Convicting the Innocent.
In 1997 I graduated from The University of Texas School of Law, the finest law school in the Southwest. I began my carrer as a civil trial attorney, and was fortunate to spend most of my time either in trial, or depositions, mediations, etc. After a few years fighting over $$$, I decided that there was nothing civil about civil law practice, and felt like I would be happier defending people's liberty than their money or the insurance company's money. I joined my father's criminal practice in 2004 and never looked back.
Since then I have handled more than two thousand criminal cases. In 2009 alone I obtained dismissals in 24 felony cases against my clients in Dallas County alone, and won 2 felony trials with Not Guilty verdicts. I attribute this kind of success to the attitude that my father and I always tried to bring to the courthouse. Every one at the courthouse knows that I will fight until my last breath, and make an enemy of the Judge or the D.A. if necessary to obtain a just outcome for my clients.

I was so blessed and thankful to find Mr. Gray. He travel 2 hours from where he was located to defend me. I was facing 2 years in jail where I would be away from my children and family. He manage to get my case dropped to a misdemeanor with only 8 days in jail. He’s truly a miracle worker. He not onl...

I can't say enough about how fortunate I am to have met and hired Brian Gray. I went with him after firing a super expensive attorney who was very ineffective and disappointing. Brian was always accessible he listened to all my concerns and suggestions becoming very familiar with the specifics of my ...

I was sitting in court waiting for hours upon hours to get in front of the judge after being left high and dry by my previous attorney when Mr. gray sat next to me and began talking to me; after a while we began discussing my case and without even being hired he began finding out information about my...
"Brian Gray is a 2nd generation criminal defense lawyer in Dallas. That means he's seen enough for two careers and knows how to cut through courthouse BS. Brian is super intelligent with a truly impressive breath of knowledge on a broad range of subjects. That matters in any kind of trial work, but especially criminal. Brian represents his clients shoulder to shoulder the way you'd want if you were heading into battle. I think he'd actually enjoy it if fist fighting was legal in court. If you want an excellent lawyer who can't be fooled, Brian Gray is it."
"Brian Gray is a phenomenal trial lawyer. He has great passion and his knowledge of the law is most impressive. I have know Brian for years and I am always impressed with how much he cares about his clients and getting a good result. He has truly dedicated his life to helping people. Brian’s father was a legendary criminal defense attorney in Dallas, so he had the best of mentors. Brian is the type of lawyer that can find the arcane and little known laws to help his client. One on one, he is most generous in helping other lawyers and is an inspiration. I highly endorse Brian Gray."
"Brian is an excellent criminal defense attorney, who works hard for his clients. I endorse this lawyer."
"Brian Gray is a bulldog. He leaves no stone unturned when fighting for his clients. If there is a way to beat a case, Brian will find it. He is respected by judges, prosecutors, fellow defense attorneys and, of course, his clients, because he gives his all on every single case. I do not hesitate to recommend him."
"I endorse this lawyer. Brian is one of the brightest young lawyers in Dallas. His zeal and determination set him above the average lawyer. When he takes a case, he takes it to WIN and uses every effort to achieve that purpose."
"Brian is a fearless attorney who is not afraid to hit the State's case head on. I would not hesitate to refer a client to him."
"I endorse this lawyer. He is one of the most tenacious lawyers I have ever met. You'll be in good hands."
"Brian is one of the most zealous criminal defense lawyers in the courthouse. You can be assured he will investigate the facts and details and apply them to the law of an alleged offense before advising the next step an accused person should take. He is definitely not a "plea" lawyer. If there is a possible path to a dismissal or "not guilty" verdict, he will pursue it."
"Brian is an exceptional lawyer who gets excellent results for his clients. His passion for those he represents is unparalleled. I not only endorse this lawyer but highly recommend him."
"Nobody fights harder for their clients than Brian Gray. He is a tireless advocate for the accused, and no prosecutor is thrilled to see him on the other side of the docket, because they know it's going to be a full-out war. He seems to get more cases dismissed in a year than some defense lawyers get in a career!"
