Bret Schmidt was highly recommended to me by a close friend. This was my first offense ever and the charge was serious (career ruining). Bret was very professional and straight forward with me, did not guarantee me anything, which I like, So I hired him. During the year it took for my case to finali...ze. If there was any progress made, Bret would call or text me and would let me know what was going on, pretty simple. Long story short Bret got my case dismissed, which saved my life. When my son got himself in a legal issue, AGAIN, and based on what they charged him with, I was almost sure that he will spend a few years in prison if not more. Based on my experience with other attorneys , I was not too optimistic to say the least, that any lawyer could do so much other than be at... the mercy of the prosecutor's offer or go to trial. He is extremely knowledgable and realistic, knows the system like the back of his hand, and is very up front as far as what you may expect the outcome to be.
