I owe my life to him!!

When I violated my Felony Probation with another Felony, I was sure I was going to prison. Due to some abuse that happened while I was in a county jail, I came to see Scott telling him of my plan to commit suicide rather than go to jail. I was crying so hard I could barely speak to him. He took ou...t a Sharpie and wrote my 3 young children's names on my hand. Them he told me to go home and pack a bag and get to medical detox, and then rehab. Within 4 days, I couldn't believe I was ever in a suicidal state of mind. I would never leave my children like that. It was the pain pills (drugs) talking, not me. Once I was clean and home from rehab, I became very involved in NA. At Scott's recommendation, i had every meeting I attended signed on a form to show the court my involvement. I followed every suggestion that he made, and every thing he told me to do, I did. My cases were Theft, not drugs so the ADA didn't want to "cut a deal" because of rehab and NA. Scott went over their heads, and met with the DA, and was able to get me into Drug Court since I was stealing to support my habit. With 8 months clean, I start the Drug Court Program, and am placed back on Felony Probation. A true MIRACLE!!! He has told me this is my last chance, and I know without him and his advice I would not be alive today to have this chance. He is truly a good man who cares about his clients, and not just what the best deal he can get them is. He has let me pay out my balance over time, and has even been able to have my court date reset when I had a family emergency. When you hire Scott, you don't just get his extensive expertise, you get a good man with a good heart who ALWAYS takes into account his clients best interest. Even my 7 year old knows that Scott "is the man that saved mommy's life". I joke with him that he continues to pull miracles out of his pocket. He jokes back "just wait 'till you see me walk on water". I think he probably could do it!!! :). I trust this man with my life, and every aspect of it. I hope I never have cause to need an attorney again, but if I do, there is ONLY one name I would consider, and that would be Scott Edgett. He truly did save my life, and by doing that he gave my husband back his wife, and my children back their mom.

Incredible Attorney

We retained Scott to represent our 18 year old son on multiple charges and are thankful we did. Robert was facing charges on Unlawful Carrying of a Firearm along with multiple cases of Possession of Marijuana <2 oz, needless to say, we were very concerned about the potential outcome. Scott took the ...time to talk to us and explain what options we might have and what to expect out of the court system. He was patient with us and answered all of our questions, he made himself available to us anytime we had a question, including nights and weekends. Scott was incredible working with the DA, he was able to work out a plea deal for 5 cases, which was exactly what my son wanted. While as a mother, I wanted my son to avoid having a record at all cost by doing the drug corp program, it wasn't what my son wanted. Robert was beyond excited to find out that Scott was able to get him a plea deal of 20 days for each case to be served concurrently with credit for 12 days time served. He was also able to work out weekend jail beginning in two weeks, allowing Robert time to make arrangements with his employer. I am very thankful to Scott for all of his work on these cases and for making a difficult situation easier to go through. Scott's fees were very reasonable and having an option of a payment plan was so helpful. If I ever find myself in need of an attorney again, I will not hesitate to call Scott. He was pleasant to work with, informative and very down to earth. He has a real passion for what he does and he was amazing with making both my son and myself feel at ease with the entire process.

Going through the legal process with ease

Honestly, I had no idea what to expect from a lawyer, but when I consulted with him he gave me a lot more options than other lawyers I had seen. While all told me I'd have to go on probation, he promised me ways to impress the judge so that my sentence would be easy. I could text or call him at any t...ime and he was very relaxed and honest with me. If I couldn't make a payment one day, he would give me another day or two to get it to him without pestering me. He has a lot of experience with different cases and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is new to the legal system. (Esp. drug related cases.)

Pos. of Marijuana under 2 OZ

I got into trouble over weed; I was pulled over and searched after not consenting on Feb 14th 2013 and then Carrollton pd raided my house a week later at 1am. All over 5 grams total. After getting bailed out the second time I picked a few lawyers to go see and Mr. Edgett was the one I picked. He met ...me after hours and helped me with a payment plan. In my case he was able to have a case dismissed and another with a 10 month probation. No complaints here.
