Biography
Eddie Cawlfield’s unique and diverse background makes him a highly motivated, detailed, and attentive attorney for his clients. Prior to attending law school, Eddie co-founded and developed a healthcare staffing company – taking the company from a small startup in his garage to a profitable, successful business. In the practice of law, Eddie uses his business experience in his client’s favor as he is able to identify potential problems and craft effective solutions that best meet the needs of his clients and their families.
Eddie graduated from Texas A&M University School of Law. During his time there he was honored as a “Fellow” by The Texas A&M Law Fellowship for his performance of public interest legal services to those in need. Eddie was also an active member of the Texas A&M University School of Law Trial Advocacy Program. He competed in national Mock Trial competitions hosted throughout the United States and was invited to compete in the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Annual Securities Dispute Resolution Triathlon, hosted by the St. John’s University School of Law in New York City. Based upon his contribution and performance as a member of the Texas A&M University School of Law Trial Advocacy Program, Eddie was awarded the program’s highest distinction – Preeminent Advocate – by the law school’s Board of Advocates.
Additionally, Eddie attended the Baylor Academy of the Advocate in St. Andrews, Scotland. Here he received intense and practical training in trial advocacy from some of the very best lawyers, judges, and trial advocacy professors in the United States and United Kingdom.
Eddie is fluent is Spanish. He is also a member of the Estate Planning Committee of the Collin County Bar Association; The College of the State Bar of Texas; The American Bar Association; McKinney Bar Association; and Plano Bar Association.
Eddie was recently honored by D Magazine as one of the “Best Lawyers in Dallas.”

Really, really good lawyer
Eddie always kept me updated and always called me back when I called him. He believed in my case and eventually he was able to get my DWI completely dismissed. I am really glad that I hired Eddie and recommend him to anyone needing a great lawyer.

A great lawyer. He got my two cases dismissed.
Eddie really cared about and researched my case. He discovered that there was a problem with how the police arrested me. We had a motion to suppress and he won. After that the State dismissed my two cases.
