Stuart deserves 10 Stars

I cannot say enough great things about Stuart Brown! He was my family law/divorce attorney in 2014. I came back to him recently needing his help on will and other document preparation and estate planning. Stuart is the consummate professional as well as an amazing, compassionate human being. You just... don’t find this combination in an attorney. If you have the need for a family law/divorce attorney -hire him!!

Inadequate Attention to Detail & Due Diligence

Our child's divorce was handled by Stuart Brown, ESQ then at the MacKoy, Hernandez, Brown & Quails Law Firm in Frisco, TX. Since there were relatively no assets & only one child, we thought this would be an uncomplicated decree tho the soon-to-be ex was fighting for delays & a free ride. Not only di...d Mr. Brown's office lack sufficient communication but his male law clerk was hard to get ahold of & when doing so, miscommunicated wrongful information to said client, further delaying service, acquiring more billable fees, with still no access to Mr. Brown. Needless to say, returning phone calls & timely responses severely lacked. Mr. Brown also did not thoroughly question his client on a number of occasions and therefore missed important data (such as abuse). He came across as he was more interested in the husband's treatment and care then his very own client, who was working FT & paying most all of the bills. 3 years later we sit with a weak decree that has caused us more $, lacking clear directives on child support, possession during summer months when the child is in daycare/costly after school programs & way more. We remain thoroughly disappointed with the service received or lack thereof I should say and ponder if it was due to it not being a high dollar/asset case - why then, did they drop the ball? I cannot in good conscious recommend his services in the area of divorce & child custody/support. Buyer Beware! Around 10K+ got us a legal dissolution, but we are still paying it forward having to deal with monthly havoc because of the incomplete & limited final decree.

Best Family Lawyer

Stuart represented me in my child support enforcement case. From the moment I met him, I felt as if a huge burden had been lifted from my shoulders. The stress that I had endured while dealing with my ex and figthting over money was no longer an issue. I trusted Stuart immediately. My trust was w...ell placed. He, and his staff, were exceptional through the entire process. Things went quicker than I expected, I was kept informed throughout the entire process, and when the hearing came - it went smoothly. We won our case --easily. Stuart handled the financial negotiations with my ex regarding the final judgement as well. He is also representing me in another case against my ex - regarding a property division that is not being paid. I have complete confidence that we will prevail again. For the first time in years, I have not had to deal directly with my ex over money owed. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a compassionate, knowledgable, thorough attorney. Over the years, I have dealt with several and Stuart is heads and shoulders above them all.

Excellent trial skills

I hired Stuart with a very complicated divorce. All of these posts about his lack of responsiveness are wrong. He was out on medical leave for about 4-5 months and his staff did the best they could. He was fantastic in the courtroom for me prior to his illness, and when he came back, he was better... than ever. I absolutely recommend him.

Excellent attorney

Stu represented me in a high-conflict custody battle, and he was able to win a vicious, two year legal ordeal. He was referred to me as an excellent atty who always wins, and my case is no exception. My ex-wife had tested positive for methamphetamine use and CPS had taken away her child by ano...ther man, yet Collin County saw fit to give my ex-wife partial custody. As a result, my daughter was exposed to drug use , sex and other social pathologies--all because the court is loathe to hold parents accountable for their actions/bad behavior. The current legal trend is for judges to cling to the principle that joint conservatorship is in the child's best interest--when in fact in some cases this arrangement can be harmful to the child. Stu was able to demolish the court's biases and and help me protect my child by winning me sole conservatorship. He gets the job done and he keeps you in the loop--and his rates are reasonable (personally, for the amount of time and BS he saves you, he's easily worth double his rates). Thanks again Stu . . .
