Jerry E. Shiles is a member of the Oklahoma City law firm of Parman & Easterday, with additional offices in Tulsa, Shawnee and Enid, Oklahoma; Kansas City, Missouri; and Overland Park, Kansas. Mr. Shiles earned his B.S. degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (Dean’s List), his J.D. degree (with honors) from the University of Utah, an LLM from The Judge Advocate General’s School-Army, University of Virginia, a Certificate in German from the University of Connecticut, and a Masters degree in Strategic Planning from the United States Army War College. He is a member of the Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, Nevada, and District of Columbia Bar Associations; the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; the Oklahoma City Tax Lawyers Group; the Planned Giving Council of Oklahoma; the Oklahoma City Estate Planning Council; and the American Bar Association; and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. He is a member of the ABA's Operation Outreach, providing assistance to military personnel, a former member of the ABA Standing Committee on Legal Assistance to Military Personnel, and a certified VA advisor on matters involving the Department of Veterans Affairs. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court; Federal District Courts; 9th, 10th and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal; U.S. Tax Court; U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces; U.S. Court of Federal Claims, U.S. Court of Customs and Patent Appeals, and the U.S. Court of International Trade. He is a recipient of the IRS Certificate of Recognition, Department of Defense Distinguished Civilian Service Award and Legion of Merit, and the ABA Distinguished Service Award. He has been listed in Who’s Who in the Leadership of the United States, Who’s Who of American Lawyers, Who’s Who of Executives and Professionals, and in the Martindale-Hubbell Registry of Preeminent Lawyers.
