About me

Prior to founding his own firm in 1995, Mr. Anderson served as a senior counsel for two major financial institutions and witnessed the often devastating effects of ineffective estate planning with many customers of those institutions. When he eventually decided to venture out on his own, this experience led him to focus exclusively on estate planning, providing his clients with a full range of basic and advanced planning options.

Mr. Anderson began his professional life as a teacher of mentally-challenged, visually impaired students. After four years as a special education teacher, Mr. Anderson returned to school to obtain his law degree and begin a second career. Upon finishing law school, he went to work for a civil litigation firm, spending five years handling litigation, probate and wills work. He then moved on to Wells Fargo Credit Corporation where he served as senior counsel. In 1990 he accepted a position with the First Interstate Bank Legal Division, where he had responsibility for several divisions, including the Trust Department. In 1995, he began his own practice as Bradley B Anderson, Attorney at Law. The firm has continued to grow into the premier estate planning law firm we see today.

A 1973 graduate of Brigham Young University in Utah, Mr. Anderson obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Education and Special Education. From 1974 to 1975 he served as president of the Canyonlands Chapter of the Council for Exceptional Children. He continued his education at Lewis & Clark College, Northwestern School of Law in Portland, Oregon, where in 1979, he earned his Juris Doctorate.  A member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys for over 14 years, he takes advantage of extensive educational opportunities through the Academy’s specialized education department.  He is on the executive board of the Estate Planning Council of Northern Nevada, as immediate past president and chairs its Membership Committee.  He is also a past board member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys.

Mr. Anderson has been an active member of the Bar for many years and has served on the State Bar of Nevada Publications Committee for several years.  While serving there, he was issue editor for many editions of the Nevada Lawyer magazine. He is published in the Nevada Lawyer and The Writ as well as over a hundred articles in local newspapers and magazines. He is a Member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys and has served on the Board of Governors of the Academy. Mr. Anderson currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Estate Planning Council of Northern Nevada.

In his early life, Mr. Anderson served a mission for his church in Scotland and went on to serve his country as a U. S. Army soldier in the Viet Nam conflict. Mr. Anderson is married with six children and thirteen grandchildren (so far).   Mr. Anderson volunteers for the Boy Scouts of America and has served at every level from the local units to district and council positions in several states.  He currently serves on the Endowment Committee in the Theodore Roosevelt Council. He is a former president and board member of the Northern Nevada Chapter of the BYU Management Society. He also serves in responsible positions in his church.
