About Scott

Learn Scott’s areas of practice.

From an early age, I found that I was very adept at working with fine details and applying them toward a solution. As someone who has always been an analytical thinker, I reveled in the art of critical thinking and problem-solving. This is what eventually led to me joining the U.S. Army.

I joined the Army so that I could learn to further develop those skills and apply them to real-world situations. For me, one of the best parts of serving was learning to work with others toward a common goal. It's what not only led me toward serving my country, but also a big part of what got me through my service, which included my participation in the invasion of Panama in 1989.

When I finished my service, I was immediately drawn toward practicing law because I knew it would allow me to continue to use my analytical and problem-solving skills to serve my community. I was quickly accepted into the University of Nebraska College of Law and received my Juris Doctor before returning to my home state of Arkansas to begin practicing law. From the outset, I decided to focus on a few areas of the law that would provide me with the opportunity to help people who often didn't have the means or opportunity to help themselves.

My initial focus was on legal appeals because I knew that my ability to study the smallest details of a case could go a long way toward helping my clients reverse the original decision in their case. Outside of appeals, I decided to also devote my knowledge and expertise toward family and military law.

Given my military background and my familiarity with many of the legal entanglements associated with military service, I knew I wanted to provide counsel and support for the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve this great country. Serving in the U.S. Army has provided me with a strong familiarity with the unique situations that service members face, both in regards to their relationships with family and their legal affairs.

At the end of the day, my goal is to provide affordable, reliable legal services and representation to individuals and families in Little Rock, Conway, and across the state of Arkansas. With over two decades of experience practicing law throughout the state, I'm truly committed to helping the members of my community navigate the legal system. I do this by providing effective legal strategies that can help them overcome whatever challenges they may be facing.

Through compassion, dedication, and a relentless work ethic, I'll do everything I can to help my clients find a solution that can help them move forward. So if you or someone you know is looking for trusted legal counsel, call my office today and schedule a free case consultation.

Very satisfied with Mr Scholl's service, especially his timeliness in getting back to me regarding my questions. Very knowledgeable in Family Law. He kept my case moving along while apposing lawyer seemed indifferent in reaching a conclusion.

First off, I did my homework and actually researched attorneys & found Attorney Scott Scholl to be Best of the Best. He wore that title well. He is VERY knowledgeable about what he does. My ex was trying to get a continuance for the second time. Mr. Scholl knew I didn't want it & immediately went to bat for me & the continuance was denied. Small victory # 1... He did his homework & brought everything to light in the courtroom that I wanted brought. He's not from Saline County & didn't back down from the judge or small town attorney that is very well known for her winning record. We won & I got what my kids deserved which was back Child Support, back "other" monies owed & $500 of my attorney fees paid by my ex. Also, after court my ex emailed me bringing his girlfriend into our convos which the judge had said to keep about kids only. I forwarded him the email & he forwarded on to the other attorney reminding her of the judges statement and ruling. I've had attorneys in the past that didn't want to rock the boat. Mr. Scholl is the captain of the boat and not afraid to make a few wakes all while keeping his composure and professionalism. He's def my style of attorney! HIGHLY RECOMENDED!!

I'm an attorney and I hired Scott on my domesic issue
As an attorney who occasionaly praciteces in the area of family law, I knew several attorneys that I could have hired, who, I'm sure would have done a fine job, but I hired Scott becuase he was strong in every area i needed. Ethical, yet a fierce advocate. Professional yet personaly compassionalte about my circumstances. He is well respected by both Judges and other attorneys. He was able to descern that my case was not typical in many respects and did not give it the "factory treatement" that many attorney's do.

Professional and Personable
Scott is the consummate professional. He knows the law, inside and out, backward and forward. He answered every question and when he didn't know the answer straight off, got back to me very quickly. He works well with and compliments the talents of other lawyers. In my case, I had to legal teams, one in Nevada and Scott in Arkansas. Scott provided invaluable insight and advise to my legal team in Nevada. He also listened and took advise from my legal team in Nevada. Unfortunately, I have had several attorneys that left me feeling as if they thought they were better than me. Scott never left me feeling that way and was always personable and approachable. If you need a great attorney, look no further than Scott!!

Thank you!
Scott Scholl stepped in to assist with my guardianship case when my original attorney had health issues. He was very professional, expedient, and detail-oriented, which put me at ease immediately. Plus, he has a personality that I found very easy to work with. When my original attorney passed away suddenly, I continued my work with Scott. I am very pleased with the results, and I will definitely contact him again in the future.

Divorce while overseas
I called around to several divorce lawyers before I came across Mr. Scholl and I was beginning to give up as the others would not do it for me or they were to expensive. I contacted Mr. Scholl and explained that I am stationed overseas in Germany and my ex-wife is a forgein national and he listened to me right away and explained how everything would work. I explained that I needed to do it as fast as I could being as I am deploying again soon and he had my initial papers completed the next day for me. Everytime I called he answered and everytime I emailed he replied within one day. He answered all my questions and kept me informed at all times. He made a stressful situation that much easier and walked me though it. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Scott A. Scholl
Attorney Scott A. Scholl has impressed me time and time again! He is unlike many attorney's who promise you the moon and charge you over the moon fees! When I first met him I was uncertain, as he made no promises. He is ALL business . His quiet demeanor kind of threw me off. When the court date arrived, and He defended me in a criminal case I was actually innocent of, He quietly, politely held his ground. He knows the law and won the case hands down. He is total class. I would recommend him anytime, anywhere, to anyone.

This is who you want to represent you!
This is my second time to use Scott. I have always found him to be very factual, honest, and responsive. Each time I have used him I know that he has had my best interest as a client in mind and has gone above and beyond not only what was asked of him, but continuously exceeds my expectations. He will always give you the facts and will not sugar coat or mislead you in anyway. He was recommended to me a number of years ago and I highly recommend him to others for any family law issues that may have.

Awesome Experience
I first met Scott in 2001. I needed a very specific type of attorney. I needed an attorney that had experience with the military and family law. My ex was a service member. We were successful in court in 2002 and I was able to have peace of mind. Again, I needed Scott in 2006 after a frivolous motion was filed against me by my ex and again Scott was tenacious. He presented a well organized case and we won a 2nd victory. In 2013, my ex filed another motion. I picked up the phone and called Scott right away. He accepted the case again without hesitation. He remember very specific details which made it easy to file our response and countermotion. We went to court again this year and AGAIN we won. Scott cares about his clients. He listens and believes in fighting for what is right. He has been an invaluable resource in my life and in my son's life.

Highly Recommended
After using two prior attorneys, I finally found one that took the time to understand my case and represent my concerns. Above all he was successful and was obviously well respected by opposing attorneys and judge. He was successful in negotiations and I feel very good about my whole experience. I highly reccommend Scott...if you are looking for an attorney, you will be happy with Scott Scholl as your selection.

John Forte- Retired Police Officer
To Whom it may concern: My name is John Forte. I am a now retired police officer. In 2008 I sustained injuries in the line of duty that forced me to file for Workman's Compensation. The type of injuries (PTSD) I sustained have a strict financial cap allowed by law in the State of Arkansas. This makes finding an attorney willing to take such a case difficult at best. Thankfully I was referred to Mr. Scholl. I went in to speak to Mr. Scholl. He stated he would take my case because he wanted to right an injustice. The opposing counsel pulled out all the stops, throwing everything but the kitchen sink at me. Mr. Scholl batted down each hurtle and kept my case on the fast track. When the case went to hearing I was awarded the largest cap award allowed by law. Mr. Scholl defeated an enormous insurance conglomerate for the first time in Arkansas history. My case made the front page of Arkansas' statewide newspaper, and was carried on all local television stations. Mr. Scholl won a case few attorneys would take. He is polite, professional, and all business. I highly reccomend him as an attorney.

I paid a Price for A Terrible Military Mess !
I chose Mr. Scholl to represent me based upon his "10" AVVO rating , believing he had experience in military divorce. In hindsight, I should've been worried when my divorce decree was sent to a wrong address and there was confusion about whether the Department of Finance and Accounting Service [DFAS] would offset Survivor Benefit Premiums (SBP) that I was ordered to reimburse the military member. This should be routine knowledge for any military divorce lawyer. After reading costly legal briefs prepared by the lawyers, I made a 10 minute phone call to DFAS and got the answer myself. It was 2 expensive years after the divorce finalization before a certified copy of my decree would be received and processed "correctly" by DFAS. In the meantime, military member was left in charge of sending payments on his own. Although the court had ordered $775, the opposing lawyer stated the amount should have been $885.24. Military member instead sent checks for $86.74, $100.24, etc. This resulted in a shortfall of over $5,000 . Once DFAS gained control, checks were sent monthly in excess of $1000. Mr. Scholl advised I needed to pay substantial fees to return to court again ( twice ) to have the court ordered amount upheld, and the shortfall corrected. I sat and answered only specific and irrelevant questions from the other attorney--fearing being charged with contempt. Otherwise, I waited in the hallway. Mr. Scholl remained professional & polite throughout, hardly challenging military member, stating to me "this wasn't his style". I trusted Mr. Scholl understood all the facts and was explaining to the judge behind closed doors. It was concerning to realize there were multiple misunderstandings, such as in military health insurance . I accrued over $1000 in bills--not realizing military member failed to pay court-ordered premium, resulting in a default to the "Standard" and more costly out-of-pocket /higher deductible plan versus the more efficient "Prime" plan that I had for 33 years and to which I was entitled by court order. In the end I postponed medical care and surgery and was held liable for charges caused by military member's failure to comply. After speaking to and heeding advice from the IRS, I was cautioned against signing military member's 2-year delinquent tax return , as the court had ordered. There were duplicate claimed tax deductions and write-offs by military member , questionably fraudulent.. To my knowledge, nothing was said in court about the nature of these faulty tax returns , and why I could not sign them. I was ordered to reimburse military member over $3,000 for half of his fines, late fees and other IRS penalties. Military member was also excused from reimbursing me his personal property taxes I paid for that year. It was quite embarrassing to have received a phone call at work in front of my new boss and co-workers from Mr. Scholl's wife when she couldn't find a check I had sent her for payment of legal fees, implying I had a delinquent account. It was nice of them to refund me $100 for my humiliation, when the check was later found at the law firm. I was motivated to quickly send Mr. Scholl my entire tax refund , thus paying off what remained of $7,572.54 in legal fees. At that same time, I asked Mr. Scholl about the $5,000 shortfall in my divorce settlement which still remains today, and he said he was going to see the judge about this. He also offered me another opportunity to pay even more fees and return to court for a fourth time. It's now 3 yrs since divorce, and similar to what happened with DFAS , my divorce decree has yet to be received by Federal Employee Retirement for processing of Civil Service. I have 11 unanswered calls or emails to Mr. Scholl attempting to finish business and correct errors. I never heard from him again. I believed Mr. Scholl to be a smart and brilliant lawyer. I just don't know what happened in my case.
