Depending on the staff I talked to I got different answers to my questions. Also it was only about their time. They would request paperwork the day that I was supposed to go in for my appointment call and say oh you have to bring something else too and I would tell them I’m coming from work and can’t... go home to get that and be on time. And then I would say why didn’t you email and asked me days prior and they told me they were busy. I also waited several months for them to get the initial paperwork going after I had paid him in full. When I did call they acted like I was bothering them. Also had the dates mixed up on my house foreclosure So I ended up moving out of my house 2 to 3 months early and incurring all those charges

I needed to file bankruptcy after being left in the lurch by my previous lawyer, who departed the state to work elsewhere. She recommended Mr. Douglas, who agreed to work for the same price as the previous lawyer. I have no problems with Mr Douglas’ work. However, his front office help gave me the ...impression that by March of 2020, I was finished providing income information (I had 3 jobs, 2 of which were online) and we would be moving forward by the end of March. I had already told lawyers for the companies that were suing me that the bankruptcy would be filed by the end of March. It wasn’t. In fact, they kept asking for more income information through June, which they wanted in a specific online format that I couldn’t seem to provide instead of giving it to them at the office because of COVID-19. This was very frustrating and irritating. The bankruptcy was finally filed at the beginning of July 2020, and the hearing was at the end of July. I had to pay extra money after the hearing to the court, which I don’t remember being told about up front. All in all, it took over 2 years to get the whole thing done from the time I started with the first lawyer. If nothing else, it proved to me that I never want to go through this again.
