Did a great job!

Mr. Weinstein appears to care about his job. I went through a divorce and he made sure I didn't get screwed. Just like any relationship, there needs to be communication on both ends. If you do your part and are clear with your intentions things work out well. He didn't appear to be out to screw over ...my ex wife either. We both sat down and looked over what was fair and agreed to certain things I wanted to stand firm on and other things I was willing to negotiate away. Knows the laws well and appeared to have a good name with the Judge. Which is good because he won't try and do anything just for a victory in my opinion. Will use him again anytime!

Took it up the tail pipe money wise

I got this lawyer because he started a new firm and was merging with the one I was with at the time. So I inherited him didn’t really hire him. I got my contested issue order today and got shafted with having to reimburse my ex-wife for a water heater that I never got to see a bill for, a f...lat screen, my tools and 3 yard tool items and half of the DVD movies out of the house I had with my ex for 5 years and he had the gall to say that he saw it as a fair exchange that I get my retirement and she gets all the furniture, all the pets and almost half of my earnings in child support, plus all of my death benefits to go to my 2 children that I had with her. As I said at the hearing, I want to support my kids if something where to happen to me but I have another child on the way and want to leave something for her if something happens. By the way this divorce and child custody had been going on for 2 yrs. Im a good father and want to take care of my children but I also have a responsibility to my unborn child to take care of her too. But it just goes to show that even though the law books say that judges cant out right choose the mom, judges still do and ex husbands/ fathers get shafted even when it was the mothers fault for the divorce. By the afternoon of the hearing he was sitting there rubbing his head. My exx was up there answering her lawyers questions and doing the crying wine thing and I was telling him that I didnt say this or that or that didnt happen and he didnt object to her cliams and not even half of the issues I brought to his attention did he question her about. It turned from hearing to dragging me through the mud and it seemed that he just gave up and was more interested in getting out of there...

Apparently Forgetful

I used Arthur for my divorce in 1995, and was happy with my settlement at the time. However, in 2006 my ex-husband retired, I called the retirement office and was told they didn't have my paperwork. I called Arthur's office and was told by his assistant that they would submit another copy. I waite...d and called repeatedly, but his assistant assured me she sent it out. By now a year has gone by, I tell her to send another copy, as well as send me a copy. A week or 2 later, I receive a newly written, unsigned copy with a note attached that his assistant needs mine and my ex's social security numbers (these were in the original divorce papers). I called and stated that she could have asked on the phone at any time, and why is the QDRO just now being drawn up when they had been telling me for over a year that they were complete and filed. I received no answer to this question. So, he submits the paperwork, however I find out it was a draft and not the one signed by the court. That takes us up to this month, my ex shows up in court and refuses to sign the papers because he doesn't want to pay the last 2 years back to me (though it was my money), he wants a lawyer present and sets a court date for next month to fight having to pay me. So, due to Mr. Winstein's negligence, I may lose my retirement benefits (past and future). Plus, he actually has the gall to be billing me now for his time to clean up the mess that he created and should have been a done deal 13 years ago! It is in the divorce papers, he just "neglected" to file the QDRO.
