Amy Lavonne Wells

After talking to alot of different lawyers and several different government agencies, Mrs. Wells was able to help my family when nobody else could. I am so thankful to her and her staff. I had a lot of problems with my credit reports with all credit bureaus and it seemed hopeless. But Mrs. Wells cons...ulted with us, and we were finally able to turn it around. I do NOT recommend using them for consumer issues. She agreed to take a look at my case and said that we would most likely have a case as long as her "expert mechanic" could find what was wrong. I purchased a used car and 2 days after I bought it, smelled oil burning. Took the car back to where I bo...ught and they told me it had a cracked head. They kept my car for THREE MONTHS and I left with a $2400 bill and still losing ALOT of oil, 1 quart every 500 miles to be precise. I called Amy Wells and she insisted that I take the car to her "expert mechanic" and not have anyone else do the diagnostic on it to find out where the oil was going even though I told them it was BURNING oil not LEAKING OIL!!! Her "expert mechanic" took 2 months before finally looking at my car (all the while I had to drive this car as it is my only means of transportation) Much to my surprise....her "expert mechanic" charged me $250 and all he did was an oil change and then said he couldn't figure out where the oil was going so he called the test "inconclusive" and a month later she told me she couldn't take my case. Now, ANOTHER month later....my engine blew up today on the way to work, meaning the whole engine is gone and I don't have a vehicle!!! Her mechanic also said that I had a wheel bearing going out and when I took that to get fixed......no wheel bearing going out, they were fine!!!!!!! She told me my options were to give her more money but that it would be a waste of time because I wouldnt get anything after her fees or get a second mechanic opinion or legal opinion!!! I spoke to another attorney who IS taking on my case with no problems and I'm also stuck right now paying a $3000 bill for a new engine put in the car.

I would DEFINITELY recommend Amy to anyone that needs help with consumer rights. My husband and I both lost our jobs for almost 2 years and ran into debt issues. I was terrified I would be sued by debt collectors, have my house taken, wages garnished, etc. Amy was able to calm my nerves with her ...abundant knowledge of consumer law and her compassion. She went to bat for me and helped me settle my debt to a reasonable amount. Amy is the complete package.... extremely bright, compassionate and a formidable opponent! Thanks Amy!

My husband and I have hired Ms. Wells to handle a few different matters for us over the last few years, mostly dealing with breach of warranty issues. She knew the law inside and out and informed us of all rights. She was also very frank about the risks we faced if we decided to fight our case and di...dn't pressure us to do anything we didn't want to do. Two of the three cases Ms. Wells helped us with were settled without a lawsuit ever being filed, so we were very happy with this result. The other one settled not to long after we filed a lawsuit. We tried to settle that one before, but just as Ms. Wells predicted, the other party wouldn't work with us. And best of all in the end we got all of our legal fees paid for by the other side. We will definitely recommend Ms. Wells to anyone who has a problem with a business. She really fights hard for the side of people.
