Raiford D. Palmer

Raiford “Raif” Palmer is a very experienced Divorce Attorney with a special talent for negotiating agreements. In my case the opposing attorney went into litigation instead of a collaborative agreement. While Raif is good with Collaborative Divorces and is a highly rated Attorney with awards, I had him represent me in litigation. Opposing side wanted to take 80% of my assets and ended up with less than 47% of my assets, due to pre-martial assets and other items that swung the balance in my favor. Raif prevailed in Pre-Trial meetings over the opposing attorney and helped me keep my house and other precious belongings. Raif and I both “Stayed in the fight for my future”, to the end. My business experience and his knowledge plus negotiation skills prevailed to a conclusion earlier this year. I trusted my future with Raiford Palmer and he delivered.

Raif knows how things work, inside and out. His advice is always solid and never off point. He is very easy to talk to, excellent at walking you through the basics and complexities in terms you can understand. Divorces get heated and that gets expensive, Raif brings cool, calm, knowledgeable approach, but there's no doubt about it, he can get tough when the case dictates, but will always keep his head, and help you keep yours.

I have had to deal with a difficult ex for over a decade and Raiford has been invaluable by my side through it all. He has been tenacious in court and comes up with forceful arguments. He is also very good at writing agreements where he tunes the language to be more powerful than it appears. I can always count on him to be direct with how things are and what to expect and can tell he genuinely cares. "Raif" took me under his wing and was my adviser, consultant, coach and counselor during a long, very complicated 2 year divorce. I had originally hired a #1 rated attorney who owned the firm but she really did not "have my back" and was too busy with too many clients to contact her in a reasonable time for consults/questions. About Raif...He is not your "normal attorney" meaning, he is compassionate, takes time for you, eases your fears and will do whatever it takes to help you. He drove back to his office in the middle of his vacation for our first consultation because he knew I was in desperate need of him. Who does that?! This is why I say he is not your normal attorney. He even "gives back" to the community for Women in Need. He is genuinely a nice, caring person which is extremely hard to find in attorneys out there.

I hired Raif Palmer to work on a very complex post decree matter. We addressed the issues, filed the appropriate motions to seek a solution and it all worked out wonderfully. Family lawyers get a bad rap for all of the back and forth that comes naturally to the process between spouses or ex-spouses. Raif refuses to get mired down in the drama and uses his expertise to seek meaningful solutions, which he did for me. I would recommend him to anyone and will definitely use him again if the need arises.

If you are reading this review you are likely going through one of the most difficult times of your life. My prayers go to you to make it through the best you can. My process was very difficult as we were dealing with an irrational counter-party filled with hatred. This made the process long, difficult, frustrating uncertain. Raif was excellent at drawing the best path for us and always being the voice of reason and the expert advise to keep us on track. Many times things heated up horribly and I was tempted to fall into the same game and respond in kind; Raif always helped me cool down and keep our target on sight avoiding wasting time and money on useless emotional responses. He really was the cool-minded and expert guide I needed to see this process through. My divorce process was absolutely horrible, but having Raif guiding me through it made the difference that allowed me to carry until the end. Raif was my divorce attorney this year. According to Raif, I was a high income individual so protecting my interests while being fair (my concern) was paramount.
