Mrs. Copi, formerly Ms. Worst, graduated in 2014 in the top third of her class at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. She graduated with certificates Trial Advocacy and Alternative Dispute Resolution. In addition to the Dean’s List, she earned the CALI Excellence for the Future Award® for achieving the highest grade in several of her law school courses. Mrs. Copi chose The John Marshall Law School to continue her legal education after receiving scholarships totaling over $40,000.00 in recognition for her trial competition performance in the John Marshall Office of Diversity Affairs Undergraduate Mock Trial Competitions.
While in law school, she was a member of the Trial Advocacy and Alternative Dispute Resolution Honors Society and represented the law school in civil litigation and arbitration competitions. Outside of school, Mrs. Copi clerked for The Northcutt Firm, P.C. in Chicago, assisting with general practice litigation cases and clerked in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office Felony Trial Division with her Illinois Supreme Court Rule 711 License.
Prior to law school, Mrs. Copi graduated with honors in 2011 from Lewis University where she double-majored in Philosophy of Law and Psychology. In addition to her regular studies, she completed a full Scholars Academy curriculum and received the Philosophy of Law senior department award. Her activities at Lewis included participation in the nationally ranked Lewis University Mock Trial and Mediation Teams. She was also nominated by her professors for induction into the Delta Epsilon Sigma Honor Society.
Mrs. Copi’s commitment to family law practice began in 2009 when she worked as a legal assistant for Henderson Law and Mediation in Joliet. She also worked as a visitation supervisor for the Will County Circuit Court in 2011. For her hard work and dedication to the family law practice, Ms. Worst was named a 10 Best Attorney for client satisfaction by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys in 2017.
Mrs. Copi became licensed by the State of Illinois to practice law in November, 2014. She is also a certified mediator and Guardian ad Litem in Will County, Illinois.
