I RECOMMEND BEN 100% In my case Ben carefully and methodically understood my situation and provided clarity to the legalities associated. His process was to seek and present various alternatives for my consideration. Ultimately, finding solutions I would never have considered, supported the deci...sion with facts and I ultimately received 50% more than I could have expected as a result. His pricing was clear, his effort was above and beyond the fees, he saw it through, he followed up....he cared! I recommend Ben and will hire him again if necessary.

A rockstar for the underdog.

I am beyond happy with my experience with Ben. I'm not sure where to begin. First, though, during my initial consult session, Ben went above and beyond to understand my situation and to confirm whether there were legal grounds. I was astonished by this; I was expecting a relatively generic and quick... review. Throughout our entire engagement, Ben listened attentively and out of genuine concern for my situation. During the process, Ben provided sincere advice and counsel, even if it wasn't "stuff" I wanted to hear. Ben delivered loads of insight to make sure I understood all angles and was incredibly open, responsive and collaborative. As a result, the outcome was positive. Ben is a rockstar. I'd recommend Ben time and time again for all employment law matters, especially in cases where you are the underdog going up against well-funded organizations.

Moving forward with gratitude

I have never needed a lawyer for anything in my life, until I did. The circumstances of a “Me Too” case is confusing, intimidating, emotional and overwhelming. Like being lost in a haunted forest. I couldn’t imagine a way out of the fog. The first time I met Ben to review the difficult detail...s of my legal dilemma, I was terrified. Being in the situation was bad enough but having to explain it to a stranger was horrifying. It wasn’t long into the conversation before I felt completely at ease with him. His was compassionate, understanding and empathetic. I knew immediately that I could trust him implicitly. My situation was complicated, and I couldn’t see the forest through the trees. As we began to work through the details of my dispute, Ben quickly identified the crux of my case. Confirming what I had felt all along – that what had happened to me wasn’t just wrong, it was illegal. When I broke down, he kept me focused on the big picture and my goals. He was a sounding board when I needed guidance, he pushed me when I needed pushing and he successfully got me through it. I certainly hope nobody has to endure a legal battle with an employer, but if you do, you can count on Ben to guide you through the complexities of a legal claim with expertise, dedication and warmth. I have a long road ahead of me but I am forever grateful for Ben and everything he has done to provide a path to healing.

Words cannot describe how much Ben helped me!

I cannot overstate, and I struggle even to articulate, how much Ben and his partner, Ted, helped me. From the moment I reached out to him, Ben treated me with respect and dignity, taking my case seriously and providing valuable advice long before we even signed any documents. Once the legal proce...ss for my case began to unfold -- what we could do, how they would likely respond to each of those actions, what our next steps would be, etc. -- Ben predicted each and every progression with stunning accuracy. At each crossroad, he provided honest, unfiltered counsel that allowed me to make the decisions that served me best. At no point did I ever feel pressured to go one way or another, e.g. to do what might have been easiest or most beneficial for him as an attorney. Instead, Ben laid out my options for me as a client and I knew, without any doubt, that I would have his full support no matter which path I chose. In the end, we avoided filing suit and reached a sizable settlement. The fact of the matter is this: regardless of the amount of money I received from my former employer, it is infinitely more than what I would have received otherwise. Had I not contracted Haller Kwan LLP, I would have received absolutely nothing, and been left with an interminable feeling of emptiness. Thanks to Ben, not only did I receive what I believe to be fair compensation for my wrongful termination but also a renewed sense of dignity and self-worth. I knew I had been wronged by my former employer. Ben believed in me and my case. He took a chance on me by working on a contingency basis. He fought for me and worked his tail off to ensure I got what I deserved. Hire this man. You will not regret it.

Outstanding Advice!

I was referred to Ben Kwan by another top-rate attorney, who said Ben was "one of the top two employment attorneys in the Twin Cities". After my initial consultation with Ben, I am convinced he knows employment law inside and out! He asked all the right questions. I work in Human Resources, and am... very familiar with employment law. Ben was spot-on. I suggest anyone with an employment issue contact him, he's sharp, he's courteous AND helpful!
