Hello. I was working in Iowa but am from Wisconsin. Naturally spending a little social time every week was greatly needed as when you live where you work it never stops. One night I get a dui. I was stopped in Davenport for crossing the fog line and arrested for owi, possession of marijuana and carrying weapons. All charges were first offense. I was from out of town and didn't know who to call. I found John on avvo and called him up. John maintained good communication with me. He was real...istic about expectations and didn't just tell me what I wanted to hear. He also filed paperwork that bought me a couple extra months before my license was taken. In court, he was aggressive and well prepared. John didn't allow the officer to go off topic or add undesired testimony. He showed up with pictures of the scene, printouts of legal definitions for roadways, and time tables so he could show exactly how dark it was when I was stopped. All this was relevant to my particular case. He immediately shutdown the one legal precedent the prosecution tried to use against me. In the end, the stop was ruled unconstitutional and all evidence was thrown out. With no evidence, the prosecution was forced to drop the charges. After the dismissal, John filed the paperwork with the DOT to get my license back. It was granted and my license was returned. With the delay of suspension John had gotten me earlier, my total time without a license was less than 3 months. No one ever wants to get arrested, but John was able to make my situation turn out as good as it possibly could have. My only complaint is, I found his secretary unfriendly on 2 of the 3 occasions I spoke with her. Once in person. This caused me to direct my correspondence directly to John. In the end, a minor detail when considering the superior law services I received. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
