This may help to refresh your memory regarding Pam, the mystery attorney. Again, I wouldn't waste my time posting a review for an attorney I'd never hired. The review I posted was not an accusation - it was FACT!!! http://www.yellowpages.com/des-moines-ia/mip/vandel-pamela-7695539/services

I met and hired Andrew Hope for a truck accident I was in. My husband also hired Hope Law as he was also injured. Very nice people. They fought for us and we are extremely content with the settlement they got us. I have never sued anyone before, nor had to until this past year-but we are glad we had them fighting for our best interests. We were badly injured and compensated accordingly as well as all of our medical bills paid for and missed time from our careers. Would recommend in a heartbeat. -C

We met with Andrew and also Travis following a car accident we were hurt in last year. The insurance company did not think that we should get much for pain and suffering or have to pay for our lost time from work, until the entrance of these two. We could not be more pleased and Travis got for us way more than we even thought we would. I am glad they set the bar high and would not back down during mediation. Outstanding and also very friendly guys.

We are almost done with the divorce process and I am happy I went in and met Andrew back in February, per referral from my sister. Good results and were able to settle things with ex' lawyer. Payment plan helped. There are two offices so if you go to see him make sure you verify which office location he will be at the day of your appointments-only complaint is I would get confused with where to go-but may have been my fault. The main office is in WDM by Jordan Creek but sometimes he is in the Ankeny one. People there are friendly.

Recently had Katie Naset handle a divorce and custody deal for me. Andrew first helped me and Katie jumped on and could not have been a better experience, for what I had to go through. I was referred to this firm by a work friend and glad they told me. They had my best interest in mind even when I tried to not care about certain things. Looking back now I am glad they made me stick to my guns. Had a mentally abusive ex who tried to run the show and Katie would not allow it. She is great and everyone there. Would sometimes take 1-2 days for a response email so only reason I gave 4 out of 5 in response time- but it was fine. Thanks ! -Jess

Emailed the 24 hour hotline for help with a divorce. I was given to Danni Harris who had only been with the firm one week. She was excited and told me all the things she could do for me. I learned she could no longer practice in the State of Texas. I was only able to get into see once and she spent the entire time typing the case information into her computer that I had already typed into the state's online system. She then charged $1500. I asked for itemization and got none. I called numerous times to see what she was doing on my case and she either didn't return call or had not had time to do anything yet. Fired her and asked for money back. No response. Wrote letter to Andrew Hope and explained the situation and told him I wanted money back and itemization. No response. I then contacted VISA and explained the situation. VISA returned my money and gave Hoper 45 days to appeal. On day 43 VISA received an appeal as Andrew Hope wanted his money back. I now have 15 days to appeal his appeal. In addition, last week I received a new bill now for $2676. I still have zero itemizations. I am presuming he added another $1176 to my bill because he had to file an appeal with VISA. This firm is as crooked as they come. I am now filing a complaint with Iowa State Bar Ass'n. I also checked the Better Business Bureau and see Hope Law Firm has a B- rating and Andrew Hope never responded to a past complaint there either.

I initially started with Andrew Hope for my legal issue. I paid my retainer fee and from that point on I was passed from one attorney to another- around 4-5 different attorneys. When I called to ask a question or give them more information I never know which attorney I would be talking with, so therefore if it was a different one that I had not visited with and I had to go over the whole issue each time, all the while being charged for the call. I was not informed on the progress of the case. The billing was not accurate and had charges for extra services not rendered. Some of the attorney's were very rude and disrespectful to me during phone calls and visits. I would not recommend Hope Law Firm.

I was at a horrible time in my life, I came up with the bankruptcy fee, I paid I spent a lot of money and time faxing and calling, I never got my bankruptcy, when I called he was on another line, 15 minutes later he was out of state, I told the receptionist all I want Is my money back and I can find another attorney, once I stated I would call the Bar Association I was told they would not take my calls any longer. Horrible experience my dad had just died, I had just had a heart attack at 38 and you pay money to a professional to handle a situation you really put your trust in them. I won't even watch the commercials, I am very bitter about this.

Sometimes is would take a day or two to get a return phone call, but other than that I was pleased with how they handled my case. Andrew Hope handled a no contact protection order and then Katie Nasset handled my divorce. They were very nice people to deal with and did a good job for me and my kids.

Called the Hope Law Firm due to a child custody case and was referred to Andrew Hope. At the initial interview Andrew was in and out of the room several times asking questions of someone either in the office or on the phone. He said he would take the case and would be working side by side with Pam, who had more experience with child custody than he did. It sounded like a good deal, and I paid the retainer. That was the last time I saw Andrew. When Pam wasn't returning my calls and had botched a court appearance I called Andrew, but he never returned my call. After a week or so I called him again. I was put on hold, and the receptionist came back to tell me that I needed to discuss this with Pam. That was pretty difficult to do since she didn't return calls. I called a few days later and was finally allowed to talk to Andrew. He told me that Pam was my attorney, and I would need to keep trying to contact her.
