Andrew Larry Hope

Sometimes is would take a day or two to get a return phone call, but other than that I was pleased with how they handled my case. Andrew Hope handled a no contact protection order and then Katie Nasset handled my divorce. They were very nice people to deal with and did a good job for me and my kids.

Travis Burk and Andrew Hope handled our homeowners insurance claim when we had a house fire. We were very excited about the outcome and God forbid we need help to fight an insurance company again, but if we do these guys are on speed dial. They know what they are doing. Very happy and we have began rebuilding our lives with NEW stuff and not CLEANED stuff like the insurance company wanted us to do...never allow them to just clean your items. Thank you Andrew Hope and Travis Burk. You were life savers.

Andrew was my attorney and also Charlotte. I thought divorce was going I be a very scary thing to go through but it was not so bad when I had these guys to help me. I was probably one of he most emotional customers ever but they are so down to earth and had a lot of sympathy, yet kept me on track to stay focused and they had my back. The ladies in the office are super nice, especially Alicia. Andrew seems very straight forward and Charlotte very empathetic. Good duo. If I wanted to complain and be mad at my ex and be reminded why I need to stick to my guns, I would ask to talk to Andrew. (They all call him Andy) and if I wanted to cry and pout I call Charlotte. Ha! Overall, very pleased and installments on retainer was helpful. Couldn't be happier with outcome.

My father used him for a (will), sorry to say the (will) he prepared for our father cost his children $43,333.33. When I called and talked to him , his exact words was" I don't have time to listen to you whine when I have paying customers in the lobby". Then he hung up the phone.

Emailed the 24 hour hotline for help with a divorce. I was given to Danni Harris who had only been with the firm one week. She was excited and told me all the things she could do for me. I learned she could no longer practice in the State of Texas. I was only able to get into see once and she spent the entire time typing the case information into her computer that I had already typed into the state's online system. She then charged $1500. I asked for itemization and got none. I called numerous times to see what she was doing on my case and she either didn't return call or had not had time to do anything yet. Fired her and asked for money back. No response. Wrote letter to Andrew Hope and explained the situation and told him I wanted money back and itemization. No response. I then contacted VISA and explained the situation. VISA returned my money and gave Hoper 45 days to appeal. On day 43 VISA received an appeal as Andrew Hope wanted his money back. I now have 15 days to appeal his appeal. In addition, last week I received a new bill now for $2676. I still have zero itemizations. I am presuming he added another $1176 to my bill because he had to file an appeal with VISA. This firm is as crooked as they come. I am now filing a complaint with Iowa State Bar Ass'n. I also checked the Better Business Bureau and see Hope Law Firm has a B- rating and Andrew Hope never responded to a past complaint there either.

Called the Hope Law Firm due to a child custody case and was referred to Andrew Hope. At the initial interview Andrew was in and out of the room several times asking questions of someone either in the office or on the phone. He said he would take the case and would be working side by side with Pam, who had more experience with child custody than he did. It sounded like a good deal, and I paid the retainer. That was the last time I saw Andrew. When Pam wasn't returning my calls and had botched a court appearance I called Andrew, but he never returned my call. After a week or so I called him again. I was put on hold, and the receptionist came back to tell me that I needed to discuss this with Pam. That was pretty difficult to do since she didn't return calls. I called a few days later and was finally allowed to talk to Andrew. He told me that Pam was my attorney, and I would need to keep trying to contact her.
