As I am sure anyone can attest, you never want to be in the situation of having to hire a defense lawyer. I found myself in this scenario after an OWI arrest this summer. I was forwarded a few different lawyers to contact and I did reach out to three of them. Keep in mind I was on vacation, four hour...s from home and released from county jail on Saturday evening with an order to appear in court Monday, 48 hours later. I spoke to Mike on Sunday afternoon, explained my situation and he was there with me on Monday at 1:30 to appear before the judge. Now, I am not familiar with what a typical case or working scenario is for a defense attorney who specializes in DUI’s but I was pretty impressed how quickly Mike got back to me on a Sunday and that he was there with me the next day, four hours away. My mind was filled with doubts. What would I do with work? What would be the reparcussions for this? Would I go to jail? Can I afford the cost? How am I going to make it out of this and how do I make it right? When you don’t have answers to those questions, it is extremely stressful. This brings me to why I would recommend Mike to anyone that finds themselves in a similar situation. He brought a sense of calm and control to what was otherwise a very hectic time. I always knew from day 1 up through sentencing that I was in good hands with Mike and the best outcome for me was much more likely because I had him in my corner. The entire legal process took about four months and looking back on it with 20/20 hindsight, I am extremely grateful I had Mike representing me. Considering where we started to now, it is something I will never forget. I can see now what I have to do to complete this process and make it right. seeing that light at the end of the tunnel is a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. A weight that could not have been lifted without the professionalism and experience that Mike brought to the table. I would recommend him to anyone for the multitude of reasons I have already stated. I had a domestic violence case from a year ago that I was unable to appear for last year. I had a bench warrant hearing and sentencing. I went to my court date last month and was told strictly I was going to do 93 days in jail without a lawyer or attorney present.
