Michael James Granzeier

I recently hired Mr. Granzeier represent me for a criminal case. I hired him about a month before my trial was to start. Throughout this month he had told us that there was nothing to worry about, and that everything was going to be fine. He said that he had represent hundreds of people in similar... cases. The very day before my trial Mr. Granzeier calls me and he asks me if I would be interested in taking a plea deal. I told him that I was innocent and I didn't want to take a plea deal. On the day of the trial he tells me that the prosecutor is offering a great plea deal - one of the best he's ever had. I tell Mr. Granzeier that I don't want to accept this plea deal, and he starts begging (yes begging) me to take this deal. He sounded like a high-pressure salesman trying to sell me this plea deal. Mr. Granzeier just want me to take the plea deal so he could make money without going to trial. So now I'm out $1600 because Mr. Granzeier didn't want to go to trial, and I had to hire another attorney. I feel that I was scammed.

I would commend you to Mr. Granzeier in your efforts to regain your driver's license following a DWI/DUI. Thorough, objetive yet undestanding and empathetic. His knowledge of the often contradictory appeals process can preclude a novice do-it-on-your-own type from making a hash of his appeal and expo...sing that person to further delays in license restoration. His fees were more than reasonable given the nature of the offense(s). (Consider how much you probably spent over the years with court-appointed attorneys, probation costs, fines and penalties).

Mr. Granzeier represented me in a criminal matter. He knowledgeably explained the options that were available to me and kept me apprised of changes and hurdles in my case.
