My brother and I both received marijuana possession charges on a night out together. We were looking around for representation and my brother found Mike Kelly and read about his proactive approach to criminal cases. We contacted him with hopes to both be represented by the same lawyer. Mike not only ...represented us both, but suggested steps we could take prior to our court date. These steps were intended to get us on the right track with our lives and show the court that we were doing more than the average person in this situation. Both of our charges will be wiped from our permanent record and the steps we took prior to court will help us never get in this situation again. Mike is an amazing defense lawyer and I would highly reccomend him to others. He also caught 3 different mistakes the court made that could have been serious problems for me and my bother. For example, warrants were mistakenly put out for our arrest. We waived our arraignment and the court did not file our paperwork correctly. So they put out warrants for us missing a court date that we didn’t have to be at. Mike’s team quickly blocked the warrants and took care of the situation before it became a real problem. I was charged with an open alcohol misdemeanor while in Detroit for a Lions game. As a Canadian citizen, I was at a loss as to how to manage the situation while ensuring that my criminal record remained clean and I didn’t risk my work security clearance. The day of the pre-trial appearance, Mike worked tirelessly to make sure of the best possible outcome. Mike Kelly - Miracle Worker. When it comes to the justice system, the jargon is all foreign. Mike went out of his way to meet with me, explain it all and lay it all out, put a plan of action down with my goals in mind so that his solution wouldn't impact me negatively with some of the usually looked ...over details, and he went up to bat. He went in to face someone who was fully prepared to put me in a position that would've negatively affected my life severely over a silly mistake - and he laid it all down. He explained the consequences of what this mistake would've caused and he worked out a solution for me that I didn't understand was an option. 10 out of 10 would recommend Mike Kelly for anyone who is going in to face something legally, when you don't have the 11/10 understanding of whats going on, Mike can get it handled.

I found myself in some hot water with a retail fraud charge. I'm a Canadian citizen who works in the U.S. and could not have a felony or misdemeanour charge on my record as it would jeopardize my visa status. I completed a theft intervention program, community service, attended CASA meetings and wrote a reflection statement to the judge prior to court. This plan was definitely the key to my success. On March 2017, I was caught shoplifting at Macy's in Dearborn,Mi. I was terrified b/c this was my first time and I couldn't afford to have Retail Fraud/larceny on my record! I googled a bunch of attorneys but Kelly&Kelly came up first and their reviews touched my heart the most so I decided to go wit...h my gut. I hired Mike immediately. Before My court date Mike thought like a judge and a prosecutor. He had me take a online theft course and go to these in person kleptomania classes. I'm not a kleptomaniac! But it was all apart of the game, to show the judge that I was taking steps in the right direction(b/c these are the things they would order you to do anyway). Long story short, Mike was able to convince the prosecutor to drop the larceny charges right away and charge me with a lesser crime "Breach of peace" and only 3months of probation. Here's the cherry on top. Once I complete the 3months probation(meeting once a month and 1 work program per month) the Breach of peace will be off my record completely!! Like it never happened! God is so good! I was extremely nervous and didn't know how my case was going to turn out. But Mike reassured me that" they can screw over everyone in that court room, but not my client!" and he made sure of that! Hire him, do what he suggests and leave it in Gods hands. Everything will be ok. I'm very pleased with how my case turned out. Mike and Tiffany make a great team :-) p.s these reviews are real!
