I called Joe and left him a voicemail on a Sunday evening regarding a somewhat petty--but important to me!--ticket I was issued in Ann Arbor, MI on a football Saturday. A large part of me expected I would never receive a return call from Joe, as I assumed the case was likely not worth his time. ... I could not have been more wrong! Joe called me first thing Monday morning and coached me throughout the week on my options and his recommendations for the appropriate "next steps." Joe even went so far as to investigate the particulars of the ticket on his own and, then, proactively followed up with me to share the issue had been resolved due to a police department clerical error. And while Joe easily spent a couple hours on my case, he refused to accept compensation for his time since I, ultimately, did not need to hire him for my case.
