I have no way of truly stating or defining the fact that in your darkest moment as a father facing divorce, fear and anger develop. I was in this situation and needed to find a good attorney. Let me re-phrase this.... I needed to find the BEST attorney. And by luck, I did. Mr. Hartley and his team ar...e magicians with a flair of aggression to do the right thing. There has never been a moment where relief felt so outstanding knowing that Mr. Hartley was my sword and shield. My divorce was in the least, contentious. Mr. Hartley navigated these waters with ease and absolutely pummeled anything in his path. I retained almost everything I was fighting for myself and my daughter in what I considered a "vanilla" divorce(house, 401K, rental unit, but most of all, final decision maker for my daughter). Some may say that this sounds easy, but it is not! And I do believe that there is a right way to fight a case where a father is fighting for his child. Mr. Hartley provided EXACTLY that. The wide expanse of knowledge and capability of Mr. Hartley knows no bounds. He definitely pushes beyond any normal human for his clients. The precision and timing of action is everything and to be honest, I do not believe that Mr. Hartley sleeps at all. He was available anytime and the guidance was impeccable. There should be a movie made about this attorney. His preparation and subsequent pouncing in a courtroom is exactly that....out of a movie. The difference is, it IS reality and that diamond you are looking for is located in Kettering, OH. As a father, I reigned in the outcome (which these days does not seem possible). I have final authority on just about everything related to my daughter. The future is hers thanks to Mr. Hartley and his team. And I am telling anyone reading this....If you are in a similar situation, I wouldn't trust ANYONE else. I have retained Mr. Hartley for my divorce/custody case. I am happy with what we have achieved so far, when walking in I had an exception of what would be achieved and so far it has gone way higher than i would have dreamed. He has a lot of confidence and knowlege regarding military which is one of t...he reasons I retained him. He is very straight forward in the courtroom which one helps be very direct and get my matters handled ASAP. He is very efficient and honest. There isn't one day I do not know what is going in my case because between him and his associates they have a very good team and are by far the best legal team I have retained at communicating to me to make sure I know every step that is going on, what is being filled, what my ex sends to the courts. I receive copies of every document that goes in or out of the office for my personal records. He has a lot of respect for his clients and wants whats best for them even after the case is finalized. I interviewed at least 7 other lawyers before i interviewed with them. Some had to reschedule consultations, others didn't seem like they knew much about military or what I was wanting, or others just personally didn't seemed they wanted the business. From day one Mr. Hartley showed respect, and shown he wants not only what is best for me but what is best for my children in the long run. I would highly recommend Mr. Hartley to anyone looking for a lawyer!!

I hired Mr Hartley for my divorce, which would involve custody of my children. Mr Hartley has been very responsive and on top of things! He always responds and forwards any information he receives to me very quickly. You can tell he is very passionate about his job! My main concern in my divorce was ...my children and after just a couple visits with Mr Hartley I could tell he understood where I was coming from in the way he talks about his own children. I would highly recommend Mr Hartley to anyone who finds themselves in this situation!

I would definitely recommend Mr Hartley as a divorce lawyer. Initially Mr. Hartley was hesitant in taking my case due to its particular complexity and his availability (Christmas time). He was honest telling me that he may not be able to do anything given the particular issues of my case and voiced h...is concerns to me. However, after he pondered my situation, he accepted my case. This reveals to me his good character and his belief that I should not be shut out of my sons life due to past mistakes (a belief that people can be redeemed) and willing to take upon a challenge. He is a blunt individual and will tell it as he sees it. He does not dance around sensitive topics, but addresses them as needed. I prefer this method because it helped me to keep my expectations grounded, even if the truth or facts do hurt at times. He did not fluff or promise anything that he could not knowingly deliver. He is a smart and experienced man that is able to look at the paperwork involved and find good defenses and help explain what the opposing counsel may be up to. Unfortunately, due to my ex already having a consultation with Mr. Hartley months before, I was unable to keep him retained as the ethical conflict was not waived by my ex. There was nothing I could do about this mistake, but Mr. Hartley remedied the situation as I had requested and provided a referral to another lawyer who would take my case. I was sad to not be able to keep him as my lawyer, but happy with the outcome given the situation. Mr. Hartley seems to be aggressive and quite passionate about his clients making sure that they get the best representation, even in difficult cases.
