From 1994 thru 1998 I attended the University of Southern Indiana taking coursework towards a double major in Political Science and History. During the summer months I interned at the Vanderburgh County courthouse in Evansville, Indiana. In May 1998 I graduated with honors from USI with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
In the summer of 1998 I attended a law school preparatory seminar at American University in Washington, D.C. In the fall of 1998, I enrolled in law school at the University of Dayton. My coursework at U.D. School of Law consisted of: Criminal Law; Criminal Procedure; Search and Seizure Law; Employment Law; Legal Rights of the Individual Employee; Discrimination in the Workplace; Civil Trial Practice; and Family Law.
During law school I received two C.A.L.I. Excellence for the Future Awards® in the fields of Trial Practice and Law and Aging. While enrolled at U.D., I was also employed by a local Dayton law office specializing in employment law.
I graduated from U.D. School of Law in May 2001. I passed the July 2001 Ohio Bar Exam and received my license to practice law in November 2001. Since passing the bar I established, and have maintained, a successful solo practice.
Business
Born and raised in a small, rural community I have a strong appreciation for respect, hard work and a love for the "underdog". This upbringing also instilled a strong compassion for all persons and their rights. Representing persons charged with crimes comes naturally and highly motivates me. I began my own practice in 2001 to ensure clients would get the one-on-one service and accountability that many law firms often cannot provide.

Great lawyer
I was charged with 2 counts of felonious assault after my family and I were attacked at our home and the attacker got injured. Needless to say he gave the police a bogus story. I felt like I was being completely railroaded, but Lucas helped me have hope that I had a chance to get a favorable outcome....

Great defense attorney
Lucas did an amazing job handling my brother's case. He was very attentive and fought hard to make sure my brother received justice. My brother was wrongfully accused of a crime and was facing several years in prison. It was very difficult to prove my brother's innocence. Lucas fought to get the ch...

Failed to go to bat for me
Lucas came off very pleasant at first and was happy to take my case. I asked for rates and he said just a percentage of win, should there be one. Upon filing a letter to the defendant I had to spell check Lucas' grammar several times (including the spelling of my name, etc). When the final draft was ...
I disagree with the characterizations in, and contents within, this review. I do hope that this client was able to find counsel to his/her liking.
