Biography
Matt was born in Springboro, Ohio, and spent most of his childhood growing up in Franklin, Ohio. After graduating from Franklin High School, and starting out at Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio, Matt graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the McMicken College of Arts & Sciences. He then ventured to Lynchburg, Virginia where he earned his Juris Doctor from Liberty University. Matt's desire to practice law led him back home to serve the people of his local communities.
Prior to coming to Kirby, Thomas & Brandenburg, Matt took a position with the local firm West & Hurley Co., L.P.A., one of the largest bankruptcy firms between Dayton and Cincinnati, where, after obtaining his Federal Bar license for the Southern District of Ohio, Matt regularly attended hearings for the firm, while handling many of the post-Confirmation issues within the firm's Chapter 13 practice.
Matt then transitioned to Managing Attorney for Jacoby & Meyers Law, L.L.P. in Cincinnati, Ohio, America's largest full service law firm. While at the Cincinnati office of Jacoby & Meyers Law, L.L.P., Matt oversaw the management of the Dayton, Ohio and Middletown, Ohio branches, as well as meeting with clients and handling a large caseload.
Matt has been married to his bride, Janelle, for 6 years, and they have a two baby-girls, Kennedy Blaire and Parker Leigh.
