My cousin was charged with murder. The case went to trial within 90 days and Sam tore apart every single witness and obtained an acquittal after a jury trial. His ability in the courtroom was astounding. It was incredible how he handled the coroner and turned her into his witness. Couldn't have been... happier and the not guilty jury verdict speaks for itself.

My experience hiring Sam was awful I really don’t understand how he has good reviews. I think he just chooses the cases he wants to fight for. My sister caught a case in 2019. My sister is not from Ohio and me living in another state ( California) made it difficult to find a good lawyer. I heard of ...his name and I figured why not. The first time I met him he seemed like a lawyer that new his stuff. When I hired him that was the end and I hardly heard from him. I called him and numerous times and never got a call back. On various occasions he will tell to me to call him back because he was working out. I had to fly multiple times spending money that I didn’t have to see what was going on. I paid him half and 2 months later his assistant told me that if I didn’t pay the full amount they will remove themselves from the case. My sister was in jail for a whole year and not once did Sam go see her. Not to mentioned the foul language he used with me and the disrespect when I questioned him about his role in representing my sister. On numerous occasion he will tell my sister that she was going to be sentenced to prison. He kept telling ME! That my sister should of known better. Who the F says those things. I lost my patience and I flew from California to Ohio and I literally went of on him. For his lack of work. He kicked me from his office and told me I was not allowed to be there. During my sisters sentencing he was late and went over my sisters paperwork 5 mins before the court. My sister got sentence and as soon as she did SAM just got up and walked away. When I came out he didn’t even look at me nor did he asked me if I needed anything. Specially since I’m not from Ohio I wasn’t sure where she was going. I talked to other people and believe me Sam could of done more. Before I left Ohio I asked him for a final accounting and it’s 2021 and guess what he NEVER sent it nor did he respond to any of my emails. Like I mentioned before Sam only picks the ones he feels he will fight for or the ones that will make him look good on TV. Other than that if I’m his eyes your guilty then good luck with that. So I don’t think he will read this! But if he does… He knows who I am.

Sam wasn't always the easiest to get in touch with however he never failed to let me down. He appeared at every court hearing (and or notified the courts otherwise), and did exactly what he said he'd do for me regarding my charges. Even got my actual charges lessened and got a very low punishment for... my charges. Thankful to have had him in my corner and would highly recommend him to anyone in trouble. Very cut and dry lawyer which is exactly what you want and need when dealing with legal issues. Place your trust in him and let him do his work. He does well. Thanks again for all you did for me! Side note. His office personal were always helpful and kind.

I hired Sam for a pretty intricate drug case which involved several 1st & 2nd degree felonies for which I was facing a lot of time and because I was told he was the best attorney hands down. Well first off, he charged twice the price of every other attorney I consulted and all he did was file a mot...ion for discovery (which is standard procedure anyway) and he sent an associate to 1 hearing. I don’t know if he just didn’t like me or what but he was arrogant, condescending & downright rude... until I bonded out of jail. After that, he was a little nicer, but he still gave me no hope by telling me we had no chance of beating the case and the only thing we could do was hope for the best plea offer from the prosecutor! I fired him when I found another attorney that saw my case as I saw it and wanted to argue the case @ trial which is still ongoing. In the meantime, I have already gotten a plea offer 3 times better than what Sam said he could get me which tells me I do stand a chance of beating the case @ trial. Of course, he only refunded a minuscule portion of significant fee he was paid and I was given a ridiculously overblown statement of his (lack of) services ($600 for 1 phone call !! Really??) so in my opinion Sam Shemansky is nothing but a crook. I wouldn’t recommend him to my worst enemy!
