Hello:
Barnette Law Offices represents consumers who are sued by creditors and debt collectors; specifically, debt purchasers such as Cavalry, Asset, Midland, CACH, and the many others throughout Tennessee. Through our knowledge of the FCRA, FDCPA, and TCPA as well as applicable state laws such as the Tennessee Collection Services Act, we will find a favorable outcome for you. We litigate - sue - creditors, credit reporting agencies, and debt collectors/purchasers as well for inaccurate and incomplete items which are reported and verified upon consumer credit reports.
Barnette Law Offices is one of the few firms in Tennessee which focuses on either consumer protection and employment law; particularly, unemployment appeals. If you have been discriminated against in the workplace because of your race, gender, age, or retaliated against contact us. In addition, if you have been denied unemployment benefits by the Tennessee Department of Workforce and Labor Development, call us.
Barnette Law Offices also focuses on DUI defense, general criminal defense; including drug offenses, and serious personal injury matters.
If you have been charged with a criminal offense, been sued by a debt collector, been discriminated against in the workplace or denied unemployment insurance benefits, call us.

Excellent, honest, and cost efficient attorney!
I hired Mr. Barnette for an employment matter as well as a debt collection matter. My business had gone south around 2009 and a former employee filed a EEOC complaint. While the EEOC found no cause, the ex employee sued me anyway. Mr. Barnette got the case dismissed and attorney's fees. Next, there w...

Don't Hire Jason Barnette
I was under the impression that you hired attorneys to guide you through the legal system. That they kept you informed and that they were on your side. Jason Barnette is none of the above. He gladly took my retainer and 1 1/2 years later I don't have one shred of paper to show anything he did for ...

WORST LAWYER EVER! DO NOT HIRE!!!!!
I hired Mr. Barnett to represent me in a Midland Financial issue and on the day I was suppose to be in court he told me that I didn't need to be there, that he had everything under control. Needless to say, he didn't show up either so the judge was in favor of Midland Financial!!! Sounds like to me t...
I have never represented anyone against "Midland Financial". There is no debt purchaser or debt collector named "Midland Financial". Moreover, this complaint has my name incorrectly spelled and the complainant does not list their own name. Perhaps, the complainant has me confused with someone else. In any event, I deny these false and slanderous allegations. This is a prime example of how anyone can post malicious lies about a professional on public forums. Attorney's rely upon their reputation to feed their families and there is no recourse against those who intentionally attempt to sully it when one has no way to ascertain who is making the false statements.

Avoid This Attorney
DO NOT HIRE THIS ATTORNEY if you want a favorable outcome to your debt collection civil lawsuit. He took money from me upfront but provided no service whatsoever. He allowed a default judgment to be levied against me without my knowledge. I found out my calling the court after repeated emails and ...
I deny the allegations Deborah Higgins has set forth above other than the fact that she did pay for my services in installments. I discussed this case with opposing counsel until I was blue in the face, looked over a voluminous amount of documentation which supported a valid chain of title and that in fact the debt was hers. I did not "lie" to her at any point in time - such a statement is defamatory per se. Opposing counsel was supposed to reset the last hearing, but a mistake was made. I didn't know of this until today. They offered to vacate the judgment, but given Ms. Higgins comments in her review and threats made in an email to my assistant, it is unlikely I can represent her any further. It was also explained that I would sue the Plaintiff in the U.S.D.C. for the M.D. of T.N. for violations of the FDCPA at no additional cost. I have done so before as anyone can see on pacer.gov. That explanation was met with threats to sue, file a Bar Complaint, and everything else imaginable. What else can an attorney do?

Very disappointed
Hello, I am suppose to be a current client of Mr. Barnette and the last communication I have had from him was back in March. I have attempted to contact my attorney (Mr. Barnette) several times to get further information. I have emailed him directly (now getting a error message stating the email is...
I have no clue who this poster is inasmuch as they have omitted any identifying information. Anyone can post anything on this - or other - websites and I'm supposed to guess who it is. In any event, I deny the allegations set forth above. Our email addresses have always worked fine and moreover, the poster makes several contradictions. I communicate very well as my large number of reviews clearly show.
