Excellent Representation

Bernie achieved everything he said he would aim to achieve from the first day we met. He is an true honest lawyer, and was understanding and proactive from day one. Highly recommend this lawyer.

Money wasted

I paid him $1,500 upfront and all he did was write a letter to the D.A. (which I am glad he didn't press any charges because my arrest was should have never happened) and supposedly went to court on my behalf to make sure everything went accordingly, and finally filed my expungement 2-3 months late a...fter I emailed him because he hadn't filed it yet (if he would have told me that if the case was dismissed I could file for expungement for nothing I would have filed myself making sure it was done asap). $1,500 for a letter, a short period of time in court which is just around the corner from his office, the papers he mailed me, and to file for expungement 2-3 months late and failed to tell me I could do myself for FREE. His letters all say contact him if you have any questions which I have done so but he has never responded back even with a I don't know, I can't help you, or a I don't give a crap because I already have your money. I wish I could give him a better rating but I can't.

The charge against you was dismissed. It was dismissed at the request of the State of Tennessee. It was dismissed on your first court date. t is not possible to obtain a better result. I regret that you are not satisfied with this.

Thoughtful, caring, consummate professional

Attorney Bernie McEvoy is an exceptionally thoughtful and caring legal professional as well as an all around super nice human being. On Friday, April 27, 2018, Attorney Bernie McEvoy’s advocacy gave me my life back after a nightmarish year and a half. A highly respected Sumner County judge dismissed ...some very serious charges against me. In open court, the visibly angry judge ruled that certain members of the Hendersonville Police Department and members of the District Attorney’s office acted with “gross negligence”, “violated several of my constitutional rights” and “were prejudicial” in the handling of my arrest and attempted bogus prosecution. For those not familiar with the law, here’s the legal definition of gross negligence: “Gross negligence is a conscious and voluntary disregard of the need to use reasonable care, which is likely to cause foreseeable grave injury or harm to persons, property, or both. It is conduct that is extreme when compared with ordinary Negligence, which is a mere failure to exercise reasonable care.” Attorney McEvoy’s diligence, knowledge of the law and research abilities were praised by the judge during the motions to dismiss. When I retained Mr. McEvoy to represent me, he promised to give me the quality of representation that he would “give to his own son had he been charged with those crimes.” I can say that, he did! No one coerced me to write this review but I feel the need to recommend Attorney Bernie McEvoy to anyone needing very high quality legal representation. God bless you, Sir, and thank you for being my advocate through this very difficult period of my life.

DUI Case

Bernie is an incredible lawyer. I was in a situation where I was unfamiliar and unknowledgeable, and thought my life was over. I met with him soon after my arrest, explained to him what happened, and he immediately reassured me that my case was not as cut and dry as I thought. After reading online wh...at happens with a DUI, I had prepared for the worst and thought I was in a hopeless situation. Bernie not only got my entire case cleared up quickly, within a month, he was able to get me an outcome that I didn't think possible even with the best case scenario. He allowed me to continue with my future plans uninterrupted, and allowed me to get my life back on track after a mistake. If you make the mistake of being charged with a DUI in the Nashville area, hiring Bernie McEvoy is the best decision you can make.

Dui Case

Mr. McEvoy was very professional and used his obvious experience to outline all the options of my case. I was offered a plea in a county notorious for not negotiating DUI cases and I believe it was because of Mr. McEvoys representation. I highly recommend him.
