A native of Huntsville, AL, Robert graduated from Huntsville High School in 1983 and then received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Marketing from Jacksonville State University in 1987. While there he played football from 1983-1984 and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Thereafter he attended The Birmingham School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctorate in 1993.
Robert is admitted to practice law in Alabama, the United States District Court for the Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama, and the United States Tax Court. Robert is a shareholder in several of the Bond and Botes’ offices located in Alabama and Mississippi.
Robert is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA), Birmingham Bar Association, and Commercial and Bankruptcy Section of the Alabama State Bar. He was recognized in 2019 by Best Lawyers in Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights / Insolvency and Reorganization Law. From 2011 to 2015, Robert was also an assistant football coach at Evangel Christian High School in Alabaster, AL. Hobbies include triathlons, cycling, and duck hunting.
