Ed Woods is a native of and currently resides in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He is the managing partner of Bond, Botes, and Woods, P.C. in Jackson, Mississippi. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Southern Mississippi where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and was inducted into Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi. While in law school, he served as Membership Chairman of the Moot Court Board. He was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 1991 and has continuously engaged in the practice of law since that time. Ed is admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States Tax Court, all federal courts in the State of Mississippi, the Supreme Court of Mississippi and all trial courts in the State of Mississippi.

Ed currently concentrates his law practice in representing consumers in financial crisis before the United States Bankruptcy Court. He also represents clients in consumer rights and social security disability cases. He is an experienced trial attorney who has represented clients in various areas of the law. He has successfully argued numerous cases in the state and federal trial and appeals courts in Mississippi.

In addition to practicing law, Ed currently serves as Justice Court Judge for the Northern District of Warren County, Mississippi, having been elected to that post in 2003 and re-elected in 2007. He periodically serves as a lecturer at continuing judicial education seminars for justice court judges statewide. He was recently appointed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Mississippi to serve on the Mississippi Code of Judicial Conduct Study Committee. He is the 2009-2010 President of the Warren County Bar Association and is a past Secretary/Treasurer of that organization.

Ed is married and has three children and two grandchildren.

What I like best about my job
I enjoy the opportunity to meet with individuals and families who are facing financial difficulties, debt collection harassment and other legal challenges. Helping these individuals and families to finally and permanently resolve these problems is very rewarding. Seeing the stress of these problems being removed from these individuals and families makes my daily efforts personally satisfying and worthwhile.
